The house was wonderful. Very oldy wordly with fantastic views of the Downs from most of the rooms. It's a little remote but you can just walk out of the house along the path to Plumpton for the train (about a mile) or straight up on to the Downs. Very quiet area. Lovely big garden. All the rooms were quaintly decorated. Loads of games in the cupboards in the lounge and nice big table we could all sit around.
We got a taxi in to Ditchling one evening - cost about £15 return and had a lovely meal at the White Horse pub.
The owner, Eve was very helpful throughout and even left us some cake on arrival.
All in all, this is a great place to stay if you like peace and quiet and brilliant views. I would recommend it to anyone.More
