I am an ever so frequent guest at Hotel Legere in Munsbach. The hotel staff and management are most helpful, friendly and accommodating. The restaurant offers a great menu selection, including a BBQ buffet in the summer weeks. The rooms are decorated in a modern style. The bathroom is an open plan concept, so not so great if you're sharing with a friend. As this is Luxembourg, there is a limited selection of English channel TV programming at the hotel. But, you can stay in touch with the world by watching the basic international news channels. The bed is okay, however the pillows are not the most fantastic. A really nice touch are the Rituals bathroom amenities (shampoo/shower gel/body lotion) and the complimentary mini-bar (non-alcoholic beverages) and if you book in advance Legere offers a free-shuttle bus services to/from the hotel. The breakfast buffet is lovely with a wide selection of English and Continental breakfast meal options. I most definitely would recommend staying at Legere if you're in town for business.

Well stayed in December last time, this time stayed in June.

I read the review of the wonderful packages that they do with the free bottle of sparkly wine, free drinks at bar [welcome drink] and the free car parking. At Xmas time 2011 didn't get this and there was a slight soar point over the car parking whether I had paid for it or not, included or net etc. The "nice" car park is in the basement, circa £12 which the previous reviewer hadn't found below. For winter it's warm and cosy and give the car a treat, or alternatively you can park outside for free.

So for the May trip found the special on the Booking.com web site. Indeed it did deliver free underground car parking, plus the Bernard-Massard Cuvee De L'Ecussion Brut bottle of sparkly which is a very good wine up to the standards of champaign except it's made in Luxembourg, with breakfast, double bed and room etc all for less than 100 euros [use of the health centre as well]. So you can't complain about that. The double room was big the same as it was in December except it was on the inside rather than the outside. I'm left wondering whether the "specials" have the downside of being on the "courtyard". The hotel is built in a quadrant.

I did notice that the car park in June outside [the free one] was shocker blocked whilst the pay car park in the basement was empty. Evident that the quests in the outside car park were not on the specials and were saving their Euros or didn't know that little secret that the free car park on the special covered the basement pay car park. Logically how could it be free if it was always free - won that argument with the partner who said it would cost us when I pulled in.

Breakfast is outstanding although someone had got the floor sticky and sticky it stayed. I was impressed with the evening meal at Xmas time, see my last review, pricey but good. I wasn't so impressed with the house wine this time and there was no option other than buffet. That was good value but if you didn't like steak or salmon you were stuffed. Desert was nice. The bread rolls were good at Xmas but were stale this time round.

Mass catering for the evening had taken over in the summer months. I did ask and was told that buffet only in the summer due to staffing. So this bit was a bit of a let down from how one had expected it to be from the December trip.

Any how so pleased with the value, the room and breakfast, discounting the sticky dining room floor, the buffet meal and the stale bread in the evening coming back again in December on the special again. Will be interesting to see whether the chef is prepared to cook in the evenings. I'm glad that I didn't have the steak that the guy had at the next table that oozed blood. The downside of not having your steak cooked to order.

Since it was the summer, took a walk about around the industrial / banking estate. There are fine views of the sewage about 0.5 km away which naturally extends into the nature reserve. One suspects this was a planning offset agreement for the estate. Weekdays during the day next door to the hotel is a cafe / restaurant which is an outlet for organic foods. The production plant is part of the operations. Organic sandwiches must originate from here supplied to the whole of Luxembourg keeping the banking system running on hearty organic foods even if they do squander our money on the good lifestyle but provide zero or negative returns. Further around on the opposite side of the main road is a business restaurant naturally closed when nobody is in the office to do business, since obviously they wouldn't be since they are out for lunch enjoying the good life with our money. Yes so the estate that the hotel is on is a microcosm of Luxembourg business. The Esso garage offers the same good value for diesel as you find in Luxembourg.

So in summary Legere Premium Hotel in Munsbach has advantages over the hotels up the road around the airport, in quality and value [thinking NH Hotel]. There were a few niggles this time around the enforced evening buffet, the stale rolls and the sticky breakfast area floor. I'm hoping by Xmas normal service will have resumed but failing that we will enjoy the saving on the "special" which is well worth seeking out.

The double rooms are BIG although like these newer hotels if you aren't in a relationship with your fellow traveller be prepared to expose yourself through glass shower etc etc. I know some trip advisor people get prudish about bathrooms which form exhibition areas for your partner. It's the way of modern hotel designs these days, may be a German influence perhaps ;).

Dear guest,
thank you very much for your detailed review! Your opinion is very important to us and permits us to continuously improve our quality and services.
The room assignment doesn't have anything to do with the rate you book. You are always welcome to inform us about your preferences, for your next stay we'll make sure you stay in a room you like! Many of our guests even especially ask for a room on the patio side.
We are currently preparing the new restaurant menu for the summer season, including many new, fresh and delicious dishes, a three course menu combining a starter, a main course and a dessert of your choice, and a sunset BBQ in the evenings (weather permitting).
Until December the menu will certainly change again, we will keep you informed. And, in case you are not happy with something, you are always more than welcome to ask our staff for alternatives.
We are glad that you enjoyed your stay and we look forward to seeing you again in December !

I stayed at Hotel Legere in Munsbach Luxembourg and was pleasntly surprised by the level of service provided.

The check-in was a breeze a staff spke english. The Hotel is modern with a very spacious feel.

The standard room was modern and clean but very small. The bathroom is fitted with the latest fittings and is very clean.

The shower is great.

Breakfast was very good and served in a nice open space.

Wifi was good.

Parking is a problem and if you arrive late you will have to park quite a distance away from the hotel. In winter time this means a freezing walk to the front door!

Room Tip: Avoid rooms facing the court yard

Dear guest,

thank you very much for your nice review!
Our standard rooms have a surface of approximately 26 sqm. In order to have more space, we would like to recommend you to book a Residence Suite (35 sqm) or a Gallery Suite (53 sqm) for your next stay.
We provide our guests with 80 parking lots in the parking garage, 30 parking lots in front of the reception, and during the evening time there are more parking lots available along the street, just a few meters walk from the entrance.

We are glad that you enjoyed your stay and we hope to welcome you again soon !

Legere hotel has been in Luxembourg for only a few years. To be precise it is 100 meters from a highway exit in middle of a business park... and it certainly thrives on the nearby business clients. Considering its location it is quiet. The highway will bring you to Luxembourg city within 15 min if there are no traffic jams.
The staff are pleasant. It reminds me of some hotels in Eastern Europe: probably I am not used to see a BMW a few yards from the reception. Although the service had a few hick ups, at the end of the day the issues were solved to our liking. The rooms were spacious and very modern. Great if you want to watch your partner under the shower (there are no doors). I am not sure that I like this!
