I was very disappointed when I was told I would be charged 10 euros per hour for checking-in early. This is very ridiculous. All the hotels that I have stayed at, they never charged me for early check-in. The hotel is also located far away from the city centre and there are practically nothing around the hotel. I also had to walk 1km to a supermarket. Reception was also quite unfriendly and unwilling to waive the early check-in charge. This charge was never stated on the Booking.com website where I booked the hotel.

Room Tip: Rooms facing the courtyard are quieter but do not offer views

Dear Jack S,
thank you very much for taking the time to share your experience.
Please understand that an early check-in is extra organizational work and extending the total time of your stay, and therefore charged an extra fee. We're very disappointed that your perception of this fee has affected your entire stay and review.
Kind regards,
Thierry Schintgen (Hotel Manager)

I stayed three nights here, was impressed by the pretty rooms and the good breakfast. Staff is friendly. The location is convenient if you're travelling for business, but the industrial park where it's located is a bit dull. I went for outings with my car.

Rooms are spacious, and breakfast has a good variety of fruits, breads, juices, cereals and yogurts.
There is an outdoor parking area located in front of the reception, which is free of charges.
They have pick-up pizzas for dinner at reasonable price.
Only complaints would be the air conditioning, which didn't work well, and the dinner menu - limited and pricy.

Dear Ludmila,
thank you very much for your friendly review. We're very glad that you liked our rooms and breakfast. We are very sorry that there was a problem with the air conditioning, it's usually working very well and our front desk team is always happy to help in case of a question.
Kind regards,

We really enjoyed our stay at the Legere Hotel. It was everything you want: clean, modern and spacious. The staff were extremely accommodating and allowed us an early check-in and late check-out (small fee), and arranged the hotel shuttle bus to take us to the airport which was included with the booking.

The room was fantastic and probably one of the best I have stayed in. It was super clean, included a TV and coffee machine, and very comfortable. Breakfast was excellent and worth getting up for! The hotel itself is located just outside of the centre but can accessed via the bus (144) which stops at the top of the road and takes around 20 minutes, for 2 euros.

Loved the hotel room: clean, sleek, great bed and bathroom.
I would have liked a safe in our room as well as coffee/tea maker, we missed the opportunity to have a brew in our room.
We liked the sauna/steam room and gym.
Reception staff were helpful but gave us (and another couple) the wrong time for breakfast availability, meaning we missed breakfast our first morning.
Bar staff were less helpful: we were not allowed to go in the court yard, which had tables and chairs in it, as it was reserved for others (Amazon convention), even though they only used a third of the tables.
We were also not allowed to sit on the balcony unless we had a meal. In other words: on a hot sunny day we could not use any outside space at all. Silly.
Especially as this hotel is based on an industrial estate and there is nothing else within walking distance whatsoever.
Restaurant food ok but limited options and pricy.
Parking on street for free - but spaces limited due to office workers using them. Hotel parking available but expensive.
There is a helpful bus route into Luxembourg City, taking about 25 mins, but bus stops in town are not marked for the route (at all) and are difficult to find.
In all: a good place to stay as long as you are aware of the limitations.

Dear 'Normansmum',
thank you very much for your kind review, we're very happy that you loved our room design and comfort. The higher categories offer a Nespresso coffee maker and Ronnefeldt tea station and a safety deposit box (Suites only), deposit boxes are also available free of charge at reception. Breakfast is from 6:30-10:00 (Mo-Fr) and from 7:30-12:00 at weekends, we're very sorry in case you got this information wrong and would like to offer our apologies. We would also like to kindly ask for your understanding regarding the exclusive reservation of our patio (it does not matter whether a group makes use of the complete facility, when it's exclusively reserved). The hotel underground parking costs 15 EUR per day, which is good value compared to other parking facilities in Luxembourg, especially at Kirchberg and in the city center.
It would be our pleasure to welcome you again and to hopefully fully convince you of our Légère Hotel in Luxembourg.
Best regards,
Thierry Schintgen (Hotel Manager)
