“A very welcome return to a lovely chalet!”

This property has the most wonderful views over constantly changing countryside. Although a little way out of Keswick, it is easy enough to drive in. (I would not recommend this property really if you do not have your own transport). The owners have thought of every convenience to make the stay comfortable and as much home from home as possible. The decor is very attractive! The siting of the chalet right at the top end of the site does mean the views are fabulous but could be difficult (though not impossible at all!) for anyone with a walking issue. The theatre in Keswick is WELL worth a visit though pays to book in advance as it is deservedly very popular. Overall a wonderful stay, thanks!

Liked best: The location and views!
Liked least: We did find the heating a bit of an issue, tricky to override the system during our stay which was during a rather cold period!

“Fabulous place and views”

On our arrival the weather was not terrific but that still didnt detract from the splenderous views you get from the Lodge which are breathtaking. The lodge itself was immaculate and had all facilities you could think of for a Self-catering holiday - a nice touch was the book filled in by previous occupiers and the walks they went on and attractions in the local area. Perfectly placed to reach main town centres such as Keswick and Cockermouth.

Simply i cant fault the Lodge or the area and you are pretty much left to your own devices albeit staff are available daily at certain times if you have any questions

Will definitely be going back at some point and have recommended to a number of friends already

“Simply delightful!”

Briar Bank Lodge looked promising immediately from when we saw the pics during booking. When we arrived on spot, it was even better. The interior decor is superb, very clean, delightful location and an unbelievable view.

The only downside (no downside at all if you're seeking relaxation) was that It may be a bit secluded for amenities but Cockermouth was only 15 minutes away by car.

None the less, if I am ever back at the Lake District, I will definately stay here again. This was worth every penny.

Well done guys and keep it up!

“Spectacular Views and excellent accommodation”

First time we have ever stayed in a lodge. Briar Bank is worthy of the 'excellent' rating given. Modern, clean, and comfortable. As walkers we found the entry boot/utility room extremely useful ,so all coats and boots could be left in one place and the door shut on it all! The large windows give wonderful panoramic views of the mountain range are quite breaktaking. We will definitely be using the lodge again.
