Was made to feel very welcome at this lodge. Helpful staff with local knowledge and advice. Clean rooms with excellent views and modern amenities. Delicious, fresh food at breakfast including bread made in house. Would love to stay again!

Our first visit but definitely not the last. Warm welcome and very relaxed atmosphere. Good and varied choice of menu. Starters were lovely - and then hubby had Lakeland Lamb and I had the fillet steak with leek and bacon rosti with peppercorn sauce followed by treacle and pecan tart and tart Tatin with rum and raisin ice cream - all delicious and flavoursome- could not fault in any way. Hope to return very soon. Staff very friendly and attentive.

Hotel recommended by a friend so glad we took her up on it. The welcome was friendly, the room was beautiful with amazing views. Nice touch of shortbreads in room. Lovely an d clean. Drinks in the bar before dinner in the conservatory with a wide choice of local gins etc. Dinner in the Coach House was as wonderful as promised and breakfast was beautiful. Look forward to returning again sometime. Thanks for a lovely stay.

This is a fabulous hotel in a beautiful setting. The welcoming staff provided a relaxed and friendly atmosphere. We were particularly impressed by the original features of the stables, converted into a bistro and bar. The food was lovely from a varied menu - with a superb selection of spirits at the bar. The room was clean and comfortable. Would definitely return.
