Tolo is a charming. Originally a fishing village now a holiday resort which is tranquil most of the year but is crazy in August! A stunning bay, sandy beach and beautiful clear water, safe for children. There are plenty of very good tavernas and a few excellent bars. The beach at one end is the small fishing port and to the east is wonderful Ancient Asini which is open to visitors all year. Much work has been done to this historic land mark which was once a thriving community thousands of years ago and also occupied by the Italians during the war! Don’t miss the short and concise film before exploring. Tolo is friendly and welcoming to all.

Tolo Beach is a tourist haven.
THe beach is long and sandy with crystal clear calm water.
Up one end is umbrellas and lounges that you have to pay for and down the other end are cafe's and older hotels where you can use the beach and facilities if you are staying or eating there.
There are a lot of seniors at this end.

Tolo beach is a great place. When you look at it for the first time you may not be that impressed but after you have experienced it for a few days you will understand what I mean. It gives you the opportunity to experience Greece how it used to be 20 years ago. A simpler place with a great pace of life. I love modern resorts like Skiathos and Cephalonia with their stylish twist on Greek life and their energy but it was wonderful to have the opportunity to experience something different. The beach is spread along a long cove that will take half an hour or more to walk from one end to the other. Start at one end and the beach is narrow and can lose the sun late afternoon. However the bars and restaurants at this end are excellent. In fact bars and restaurants back the whole length of the beach without distracting from it. We found ourselves going out at 10am and not coming home until midnight as we were enjoying ourselves so much. As you get to the other end of the beach it broadens out with better quality sand and even some dunes. This is more modern but again a lovely place. Although busier with locals and tourists it was still a great experience.
Cant wait to go back here again.

There is a small but lovly beach in Tolo, the sea goes very slowly deeper and deeper, very good for young children, a lot of sportive activity possible, and shops and restaurants nearby.

Well worth seeing, fantastic med views, would be better in season as limited facilities available. Water was warm, amazingly clear.
