Arrived earlier than our Open Table reservation so we sat in the bar for a few drinks before the rest of our party arrived and the table was ready. Bartenders were attentive and made great drinks. While we waited we were brought fresh bread (told it is made in house) which was soft and warm with a side of rosemary infused olive oil and parmesan cheese. It was delicious! When it was time for our reservation the hostess came to get us and took us to our table set up near the back in an alcove with a private TV.

The waiter recommended the Little Italy Combination as an appetizer, but we opted for more bread. Each person in our party ordered a different meal. Steaks were cooked perfectly, side items were good and plentiful. The Johnny’s Supperclub Spinach Salad is both sweet and savory, the Johnny’s Minelli (garlic cream sauce and fettuccine) was a hit. The one fish dish ordered was slightly overcooked, but still had good flavor. For dessert we ordered the crème brulee, turtle cheesecake, and roasted banana cheesecake. All very good. The candied pecans made the turtle cheesecake fantastic. The roasted banana cheesecake was different, it had a creamy banana bread texture. My only recommendation for desserts would be to serve on chilled plates, especially the banana cheesecake. Since the topping is caramelized after being plated it made most of the cheesecake warm. Personally I prefer cheesecake to be cold.

The service was impeccable. We felt very welcome and at home. Both large and small parties arrived after us and everyone appeared to be well taken care of.

The atmosphere of the restaurant is modern and perfect for a few drinks at the bar or a casual yet upscale dinner. Highly recommend visiting whether you are staying at the hotel or not.

My wife, two kids and I were invited to participate in a pre-opening dinner event. We ate at the restaurant on Friday, April 29th. I thought all of the employees, from the front desk area and sales of the hotel, to those that were waiting to seat guests, were very friendly and courteous!

The hotel that the restaurant was housed in had just opened to the public the prior week. The restaurant however, had not opened to the public as of yet so the kitchen staff and wait staff were still being trained.

The bread that they brought us before our meal was very warm and delicious, especially when dipped in the olive oil and parmesan cheese that accompanied the bread. For our entrees, my wife and I ordered steaks. I had the smothered steak which was topped with mushrooms and sauteed onions. The mushrooms looked to be Shitake and some were really big, which I liked. The steak was very flavorful as was the mushrooms and onions. My plate came with a side of garlic mashed potatoes which were plentiful; however, I really could not taste much of the garlic flavor.

Our son had the chicken tenders which I will say, were some of the freshest, tastiest that I've had in quite some time. Our daughter ordered a kid's steak sandwich; however, when it was brought to the table, the bread was two crustinis. We had to cut the steak into much smaller pieces in order to make them fit between the two "slices" of bread. My wife asked to speak to the young man who was perhaps the Manager on Duty at the time. When she (wife) explained to him what had happened, he began going into his description of the meal ("the steak is cooked to temperature", and so on and so forth). At first he seemed somewhat defensive; however, my wife explained that she wanted to provide them with the feedback since the restaurant was in training mode. He then said that he would take the feedback, back to the kitchen to speak to the chef. He also asked if he could bring her some extra crustini for her sandwich.

Even though we did not have to pay for the meal (since it was pre-opening, the meals were complimentary), they charged us for the extra crustini that was brought to our table. Our son had ordered a drink (which should have come with his meal and should have been part of the meal) before we placed our meal order, which we were "charged" for when they brought us our receipt.

You should tip on the dollar value amount, and these were "added" charges to our bill (which in our minds, should not have been).
