DUNES holiday village is located in Mandrem , Goa. it is approx 58 km from airport , 15 km from mapusa and 25 km from panjim and 28 km from calangute.
one has to be decisive in going to this place.
it is well located on the mandrem beach rather the gateway to the beach. there are huts approx 15-18 and 2 x rooms. the place is in the coconut grove ,one can say.
the huts are well done up, neat and tidy with basic amenities of water 24x7 , hot water ,fan , back up generator, double bed with mosquito net , attached toilet with shower. it also has wi-fi 24x7 which is free.
the place has a great restaurant serving amazing cuisines and it's en route to the beach thus making the hunger pangs go bonkers with the irresistible aroma .
the front desk is very polite and prompt specially Mr Anthony and Mr Ramachandra.. very helpful always.
the supporting staff is also helpful, and there is a guard on duty through the night to respond for any help.
the place also has a kerala ayurveda spa and one can can fix an appointment as per convenience.
dunes village also caters for two wheelers on hire at a reasonable rate.
the dunes caters for pick up and drop from any place at fair price without any fuss. in fact the vehicle would be there even it is midnight,so no worries on that issue.
in addition the street has many other things - a flea market, a super market adjoining the main gate , liquor shops, a hospital, atm , medical shop .
there are other good eating joints too if one desires to explore.
arambol beach is just 2-3 km away and a great getaway for evening fun n entertainment.
the place conducts yoga classes and one can join for a week to fortnight course and also impulse gymnastics/yoga on the beach.
only drawback is there is no TV in the huts , for the TV lovers.
the place is generally cool and gets little chilly by night specially during jan - march mid.
the place caters for ,if one is looking for personal space ,comfort ,leisure at the serene beach with no worries and undue buggery.
point to note- no loud music is allowed to be played in rooms to avoid disturbance to others.
if one is looking for peace and tranquility ,then this is the place to be.
enjoy the photos to get a deeper insight.

Room Tip: all huts are good.families can ask for bigger huts with 4 beds.

I‘ve just spent a Perfect 10 day holiday at the Dunes and I’m absolutely bewitched by this place. The basic huts are clean and spacious, they are placed under palm trees directly at the beach. First I thought it would be a loud place, because many people pass by on their way to the restaurant and the beach, it turned out to be very quiet and safe. Its serenity and laid back atmosphere soon spread over and I could relax completely. A major part of this played the staff, they are absolutely stunning. Welcoming, warm, friendly, eager to help whenever help is needed, always smiling, always there. They make the place what it is.the restaurant serves delicious food, fresh and safe to eat,and the fresh juices were the best I’ve ever tasted. And again, their staff was perfect and the restaurant offers remote tranquility, sit there and dream your life away.
It was my first time in India, but I will be back at the Dunes.
What a perfect place!

We stayed three nights in a family hut close to the beach of Mandrem. Dunes is a relaxed place with friendly staff and a good restaurant. They also have a yoga shala and beach spot! Groups are also welcome!

Three of us shared a family hut at Dunes in December 2017. The weather was perfect, the restaurant was so good that we never went anywhere else for meals, and the service was outstanding (both from restaurant staff and reception). The beach was clean and safe for swimming. We would love to go back!

I stayed here for two nights. The huts are basic, what you'd expect around this price range (I paid 2,200 rupees per night) and the staff were very helpful and welcoming. The restaurant isn't anything to write home about, go to the Lazy dog next door or any of the beach shacks further down

Room Tip: all the huts are nice, but probably nearer the beach away from the main drag is quieter!
