Pico Sands Hotel is part of the Pico De Loro complex of for sale condos.. It is a restricted entry establishment which does increase the security...which shouldn't be a problem as it is in the middle of nowhere and a very long way to any where.. This is part of the problem with staying there... they charge you for everything.. The beach is not white or off white... its grey and the water is brown for about 100 meters from the beach to off shore... it does have a protected cove as seen in the photos but this does attract the Jelly Fish... the beach was closed when we were there.. there are pools you can use... The facilities are complete and the do charge for the use of most of them.. The restaurant does have good food as you would expect... but nothing special.

The Pico Sands Hotel is located in a cove. There is a beach nearby and a country club next door that has a sports complex, swimming pool and a kids playground. The problem is with the room. There are hardly any decorations, the mattress and pillows were hard and they seem to nickel and dime you to death. For example, the room came with two complimentary bottles of water, when we asked for more, they said you have to pay for the additional "complimentary" water. The bathroom amenities also looks cheap for a room that cost this much.

Hotel personnel seem to thrive on saying no to requests. Other than the water incident, on the day of our check-out, we called "guest servicse" to request for late check out. Cheerfully, she said, what time would you like? I said 3 pm, to which she said instantly that they could only give until 1pm. She said that without even checking to see how full they were. How sincere was the question of what time I wanted to check out? Why bother asking to begin.

The hotel also has wifi but for the time of my stay there, I was able to connect to the wifi but was not ever able to use it.

The staffs were friendly and accomodating. We liked the place. We enjoyed playing bowling and billiard. Good to unwind. They have nice facilities. Buffet breakfast was good. Just need to improve their choices of food at the resto for lunch and dinner.

The hotel and its locale within the Pico de Loro complex is a nice getaway. The hotel , however, has only one restaurant leaving guests with limited dining alternatives, ie the club's restaurants. Breakfast within the hotel continues to be an unappetizing affair starting with the general confusion of limited dining table/space to accommodate the hotel guests on long weekends. While the waitstaff tried to attend to everyone and be helpful, the F&B management could be improved starting with logistics. ie, where the food buffet was located within the resto.

Thanks to SM advantage promo, we had a chance to stay in the hotel without using the endorsement of any member. I thought we will have a great time. But this place is for rich people only, everything has a price, the food is too expensive but it won't win your taste buds. In their resto's, you need to ask them several times before they'll attend to your request. The room in the hotel is big, but nothing special. I've been to expensive hotels but everything is worth it's price, even the food, that's why they were called a 5 star hotel. But this place, it's a no, no! There's no uniqueness even in the pool or beach or anywhere in this place. It's just the same with other cheaper resorts with pools and beaches. You will just waste your money....

Dear Eileen H,

Thank you for taking time to share your experience during your stay with us. We are disappointed that we failed to meet your expectations in some areas.

We have noted your concerns and these have been discussed with concerned departments. Also, we are changing our menus by October to effect specific food concepts per restaurant.

We hope you will revisit Pico Sands Hotel and give us a chance to make it a delightful experience for you.

Best regards,
Maggie M. Garcia
General Manager
