Service was appalling. For a customer prepared to spend several thousand pounds on a party at Wickwoods I wasn't expecting to be ignored.
I rang Wickwoods on Sunday Nov 5th (at 11:05) and asked to speak to someone for a quote for a party. I was informed that I would need to speak to the events team XXX or ZZZ, neither of whom were working that day. I was informed ZZZ would be in the next day, Monday, and both in on the day after, Tuesday. I sent an email to the events team after the phone call on Sunday. I asked for a price for the 'Large Party room', 100 guests, buffet, 7pm – midnight. I finished the email by saying -I will ring you on Monday as I wish to have this agreed asap. Feel free to contact me on 12345 678 123.
Note I asked to be quoted 'as soon as possible' and I also gave my phone number so I could be contacted quickly with a price.
On the next day, Monday, I rang Wickwoods at 16:00, as I'd had no response to my email and asked to speak to ZZZ. After a brief wait the receptionist informed me ZZZ wasn't answering her phone. I explained I had sent an email the previous day asking for a quote for a party. I gave the receptionist my name and mobile number. The receptionist said she would pass on the message and would have ZZZ return my call.
Sadly, ZZZ couldn't be bothered to return my call.
After 7 days, despite sending an email and phoning I had no response whatsoever. Not even an acknowledgment of my email.
This clearly isn't just a 'lost email in the system' as I reinforced my enquiry verbally with a phone call and left my contact details. This incident does the David Lloyd brand no favours.
Needless to say I have gone elsewhere for my party.
