We were completely caught by surprise when we arrived here. It was a hike to get to the hotel from Kalaw, 20 min dirt road with rocks, up and down hill but once we arrived here and took a deep breathe of the fresh air and looked around the hotel surroundings we regret that the travel company didn’t book us an extra night here. The lodge is surrounded by mountain with a few to the hills and the lodges organic garden. We were probably the only guests for the night as a large school organization was there during their spring break and was checking out. We had dinner at the lodge in front of fire place, it does get pretty chilly here at night. And in the morning we took a morning tour where we got to visit the garden, tasted some raw organic vegetables, fed the chickens, goats and milked the cow. The hotel room is amazing with a patio to beautiful view. I would have loved to stay here for a few nights. The only drawback is WiFi is only available in the lobby, no WiFi in the room. I would have loved to do a hike from Kalaw to Lake Inle and stay here for a few nights. The spa not too far from the hotel is also amazing! We spent 3 hours there for different service for 2 people and only cost $50USD including tips. Absolutely love the hotel. They also gave us hot water warmer that we can hug to sleep to keep us warm.

Among more than 40 countries we have visited in the world, this hotel was definitely one of the best experience. Not only its beautiful scenery, clean room and amazingly kind staffs, but also organic food grown by the villagers and strolling in the nature make this hotel a unforgettable memory. We have lived in Myanmar for 3 years so far, but this hotel is absolutely a Must-visit destination in this country. Our 3 year-old daughter enjoyed so much playing in the nature and with animals owned by the villagers. Thank you so much.

If you have a rented car with a driver, and you don’t mind 25 min of bumping on a road ( more holes then road) then this is an option. The hotel itself if very nice. The rooms are big, but COLD! Yes they have a heater, but its still icecold cause the heater doesn’t heat much. Taking a shower in the evening is ok as long as you are under the water, but comming out of there and you have 10 c in the bathroom= COLD!
The people working there are very nice, very helpful and sweet.
The restaurant is good, not the best food we got in Myanmar but very tasty . And the spa had the best massage in all Myanmar!

Only spent one night before starting out on our two day trek but what a great place to stay. Hidden in the hills surrounded by forest this hotel appears from nowhere. Peaceful, high quality and very friendly staff, we can happily recommend. Great breakfast and stunning rooms. Not for those who want to be in the middle of the Kalaw action, but we appreciated the change of lifestyle for one night.
