Average is a good word to describe this hotel. Location is convenient at the station. Free breakfast AND dinner, so to speak, is nice for the cost conscious traveler. The small hot bath is nice for unwinding.
However, breakfast nor dinner are anything special. I've had much better free meals at similar hotels in Aichi area. The lobby and dining areas are outdated and somewhat depressing. The English ability of the desk staff is subpar for my experience.

A step from Shinkansen station, this hotel offers small but clean rooms and breakfast at reasonable price.
Also airport bus stop (last stop of "Mikawa Anjo line") from Chubu Airport is nearby. (100~200m)

Rooms are very small, but the bed is relatively affordable then other Japanese so-called “business hotel”. You can enjoy Japanese public bath with sauna at free of charge. Wearing swimming wear not allowed.
Complemental breakfast buffet served at the ground floor is simple, but cannot complaint as it is complemental. All Japanese traditional breakfast staff is there. A bite of Natto (fermented beans) will be your unforgettable memory of Japan.
They also offer complimental dinner like beef bowl for limited number of guests. First come, First served.

You can book this hotel via several internet travel site by typing "Mikawa anjo AB hotel".
Please note that there are three AB hotels in this area and they are very close each other. Do not mixed up. Honkan (main building), Shinkan (Annex) and Minani-kan (South building). These three hotels are same group and offer similar service.

This is an excellent place to stay near Nagoya. The hotel is in the plaza created by the intersection of the shinkansen Mikawa Anjo and the JR Mikawa Anjo station. There are actually three AB hotels at this location. I stayed in the one at the bottom of the steps, though all three are virtually identical.
The rooms are tiny but clean. Everything works. There are three factors which make this hotel stand out:
1. Free wifi in every room. I can't say enough about the importance of free wifi to an American traveler like me. On this trip I also stayed at an Okura affiliate which charged for wifi, and didn't have it in the rooms anyway.
2. The breakfast buffet is elaborate and includes both western and Japanese breakfasts. There is natto and rice for those who like it. There is endless coffee and green tea.
3. The bath. In addition to the small soaking tub in each guest room, there is a large bath room on the first floor. It has three areas to wash with soap, shave, shampoo, etc., and rinse. Then there is a large hot soaking tub, a sauna, a cold bath, and an outdoor bath.

Honorable mention goes to the beverage machine and the beer machine in the lobby. I wish all hotels sold beer from a vending machine in the hotel lobby.

Room Tip: You can't go wrong here. The 4th floor has the washing machine so it sees heavier traffic than the other floors. Very quiet hotel.

as with other reviews, it is a simple room, breakfast and dinner provided, breakfast is very typical japanese, rice, pickled items, natto, eggs, grilled fish, salad and some other items, very filling and able to last me till late afternoon, mind you, i am not a small chap. dinner, i have not tried as i was dining out at various places my friend brought me to, but usually 2 choices, a meat don or rice bowl or a tofu rice bowl. the meat rice bowl is usually beef but i have seen them offering chicken.

good part about this place, it is located beside the JR station, so you can get to nagoya within 10 minutes, provided you change from the local train to the express train at kariya station. the shinkansen station is also nearby, but it is served by the kodama trains only. so either book the hikari trains to the next nearest station, like hamamatsu if coming from tokyo then change to kodama, or if coming from kyoto, change to the kodama at nagoya station.

Room Tip: avoid the 4th floor. it is the floor with the coin washer and vending machines. otherwise, relatively quiet.
