“Great cottage, lovely hosts, home from home.”
Reviewed 8 March 2016 for a stay in February 2016

Stayed from 23rd to 25th Feb, we rented Garden cottage and our friends rented Wisteria cottage. Lovely few days away in great location, staggering distance to great pub, very homely and cosy cottage with log burner. Short drive to Heddon valley and Ilfracombe and Combe Martin. Loved the cottages , very nice hosts , great location, fantastic food and beer in the pub. Would highly recommend.

Thank you for your lovely review. Really glad you liked Garden & Wisteria Cottages - we are indeed fortunate to be within staggering distance of the pub! (and shop). Heddon's Mouth is amazing, as is the Valley of Rocks near Lynton. We look forward to meeting you again.

“Cosy cottage”
Reviewed 14 September 2015 for a stay in September 2015

We love Garden Cottage, it's very cosy and quiet. It is a lovely area with an excellent pub, The Black Venus just a short walk away and take away from the post office are a must. John and Mel make you very welcome and can provide lots of information on where to go and what to see. This is our 2nd year at the cottage and we will be back.

“A cosy cottage in a great location”
Reviewed 6 September 2015 for a stay in August 2015

We had a lovely week at Garden Cottage. The cottage is cosy and well equipped, and we appreciated having a safe, enclosed garden for our dog. The owners, Melanie and John, were very friendly and helpful. The location is very good, with so many beautiful places within easy reach.

“If you want to escape look no further”
Reviewed 10 August 2015 for a stay in July 2015

Apologies for delay in writing our review been meaning to but things kept getting in the way. The wife and I travelled down with a friend and his teenage daughter to escape and recharge the batteries. In the lead up really good communication with John showed they were flexible with arrival times which was appreciated. On our arrival John was painting one of the other properties but welcomed us and gave us the benefit of his local knowledge. Property is very well maintained and equipped. It was so quiet with lovely gardens and there was no phone reception which is exactly what we wanted! Wi-Fi was working in the house so you could contact people if you chose to. Would definitely use again when down that part of the world would thoroughly recommend
