Great little stop in this very nice village. Great beach. The shop is run by a family who have been producing wine for centuries. Lovely cheese, marmalade, meat and of course wine at very reasonable prices

In the shop "Enoteca Avola" you can taste a variety of cheese and meat products, which are of good quality and not overpriced. Also, you can buy antipasti and sample through wine(s) before making a deliberate purchase decision. In May 2016, the shop was undergoing reconstruction, which is why because of havoc we did not have a chance to sample through a whole variety of products, still I would like to commend on a friendly and attentive service, the guys were trying their best, indeed!

P.S.: The fact that this shop is frequented by the locals speaks volumes, doesn't it?

We stopped in here to pick up wine and had such a warm welcome we stayed for lunch. We went back a few times during our stay and every time the produce was excellent. On our last morning we stocked up with rolls for the journey and felt very privileged as everyone else suffered plane food and we ate like kings.

We needed to get a simple lunch and some supplies so rather than a super market we parked easily at this small shop. It's easy to go into the next door Wine shop which has little food and less charm. We took away a selection of Wines and enjoyed great fresh filled rolls at the tables for a bargain price that the lady rounded down not up.

Go figure, Why will they not have air condition in a shop that sells wine?! We came in especially because we read the reviews.... and left a second later. There was no table or chairs and it was so hot in this tiny shop. Feel free to skip this 'attraction'.

Cordiali saluti
