Abriachan is spacious but cosy, nicely decorated and very comfortable. The owners live conveniently nearby and are very nice but unobtrusive. The only other neighbour of note is the pine marten, a peanut butter junkie, whose early evening itinerary includes checking the kitchen window ledge for tidbits. The views are splendid, and there is a pleasant garden to enjoy them from, weather permitting. A great base for exploring the area by foot or on wheels. Don't bring food, the local grub is excellent, even from the supermarket.
Very good value for money.

“Absolutely Amazing Family Holiday”

We have just returned from our two week summer holidays and can't wait to go back. I stayed here with my husband, three young kids and my parents and we all fully enjoyed our stay. The house and garden are very well maintained and spacious and there's plenty to keep the children busy. They enjoyed playing in the garden either with their toys or with Roxy, Tim and Lilly's dog.The views from the garden and the conservatory are second to none and there is plenty of wild life to be seen. We especially enjoyed bird watching from the conservatory or watching roe deer grazing in the back field and preparing food (peanut butter and jam sandwiches) to leave out for the pine martin who regularly visits in the evening time.
Abriachan is also an ideal base for visiting the Isle of Skye and Applecross with its lovely beaches. Kyle of Lochalsh, Duirinish and Plockton are also well worth exploring. Callum's Seal trips are a must.
We even managed to fit in the Jacobite Train Trip from Fort William to Mallaig.
We will definitely be back.

Hi Lorraine, Thanks very much for your kind words.
Actually, there IS a washing machine and drier in the seperate laundry opposite the kitchen, in the shed, my fault for neglecting to mention it. Pipes are all under floor for connection to central heating but found it hot enough with the wood-burning stove. May connect it up, yet, thanks for that, All the Best, Tim
