This restaurant is on the first floor of a hotel near Takada station in Niigata prefecture. I visited Takada to pay respect to my grandparents grave, which I had not done for a very long time (perhaps 30 years).
There were several fixed lunches on the menu, all Japanese food, and most of them having fish dishes. There were no English on the menu, and although the staff might speak English, you might want to have a Japanese speaker to help you out. Lunch comes with all-you-can-eat potato salad and coffee. We ordered some soba lunch and sashimi lunch, which came with miso soup, rice, pickles and some sides. All of the food were very delicious, and with sufficient portions, especially for the price.
Overall, an unexpected surprise in my grandparent’s city.
