Our tour operator put us in this hotel for one night during our trip to Japan and it was the worst of the 5 hotels that we had stayed. I think this may be a popular hotel back in the '70s for its hot springs bath.
This is really an old time ryoken catered to local Japanese, possibly on a budget. The receptionist did not speak a word of English so it was not good communications. The tatami rooms were very run down and ancient even there is a new wing, it did not look much better. Sleep was very uncomfortable as one of our tour mate was beaten alive by mosquitos. The bath room was non-existent, especially for westerners.
Wifi was only available in the lobby area and by 8 am the next morning, it was shut off. Incredible.More
