We had a really nice King room that looked out to a ski run. The bed was really comfortable. The problem I do have with the resort is that they charge $10 a day for Wifi.
They no longer include breakfast in the rather high price so one would think that they would include free internet. We travel the world and always have internet so this was a surprise to find we would be charged for it.
The Potter Restaurant - early bird special deal was fantastic.

Room Tip: We had room 305 which was perfect for the view to the ski hills.

Dear SthAussietravelgirl,

Thank you for this excellent review, we appreciate your feedback and expect others considering our resort will find your comments helpful. We offer complimentary wifi in hotel common areas and at the Blue Mountain Inn restaurants; this is our light service, suitable for viewing e-mail and browsing the internet. The service in our guest rooms for a fee is our premium service, suitable for viewing e-mail, browsing the internet and downloading media. We have never included a complimentary breakfast and regret the poor impression you have taken away, thinking it was something that was included at one time.

We loved our stay at the Blue Mountain Inn. Staff were all friendly and helpful, and the inn was just a quick walk away from the village. Rooms were clean and well taken care of. We were happy to find The Pottery restaurant inside the hotel. The breakfast buffet was very good. A little pricey, but everything in that area is being that it is a tourist destination. We would definitely stay again.

Decent hotel. The room was good and had a beautiful view of the skiing hills. The washroom doors are not ideal and I actually got locked inside. I managed to get out because a friend used a card key from the outside to pop open the lock. We called the front desk and they sent someone to fix the lock right away.

There is a free shuttle bus that goes to the village which was great.

The elevators were also really slow.

Dear Alexandra M,

We appreciate this feedback and are happy to see that you enjoyed your visit overall. The proximity to the slopes is ideal, right out the back door of the Inn. The Village is a short walk away or as you have indicated, our complimentary shuttle service is available at all times and can take you over in just minutes. We are disappointed to hear about the defect with your washroom door, however are pleased to see that our maintenance associate was dispatched to undertake a repair in a timely manner.

We stay here each year for provincial championships and each year I hope this place invests a little money... nope not yet.

The washroom in our room was a joke. Swollen wood and trim from water that is repainted to cover up and not replaced. The shower head was leaking so badly out the side that more water was on the wall then on you. Dirty floor and sink wasn’t draining well.

The mini fridge in the room was only good to keep things on as it was dead. The lights were on a mix of switches and dials that required a puzzle mentality to get them right.

The bed was actually very comfortable and pillows were very very good. Might have been due to hard sling and being tired but sleeping here was actually very good. Room was also quiet even though we have 4 teenage skiers sleeping in the rooms on both sides.

There is a musty odor that permeates the whole floor(3rd) we were on. This might just be the skiers tracking in water but it was unpleasant.

Check in and check out was much better this year then it has been in the past. Especially AnneMarie at the front desk. She was both efficient and charming.

The banquet services we used were very good this year and the meals for breakfast were much improved from the past.

For the price and ski in ski out this is a budget stay. I would have been happy to pay a little more for a little better.

Dear John M,

Thank you for providing this feedback on Trip Advisor, we regret to see that you did not thoroughly enjoy your stay on this occasion. The Inn enjoyed an extensive renovation in late 2012, and for the most part, our past and present guests have enjoyed the results. We sincerely hope you reported your concerns with the room to our teams, allowing us the opportunity to inspect the room and undertake any necessary repairs. Additionally, we hope that the cleaning oversights were brought to our attention, allowing us to review the shortfalls with the associate responsible and provide coaching to avoid a repeat of this service. We are very grateful for your comments about Anne Marie and her outstanding services, we will be sure to provide proper recognition to her for a job well done. Likewise, our culinary and banquet teams will be very pleased to view your kind remarks.

Customer service was awful. We went to check in at 3:00 PM and were told that our room wasn't ready - I asked what time check in was and was told it was at 4:00 PM - I then asked if our room would be ready by 4:00 PM and they said they couldn't guarantee it. We waited until 4:45 PM, and saw others who came in after us get their room - I went and asked if our room was ready yet and was told it wasn't - I explained that we were only there for one night and have been waiting for almost two hours for our room - they ended up finding us a room that was ready. At check out, I stood there for five minutes with no one in front of me before I got acknowledge. I was asked for my room number and name and that was it - I never received a "good morning" or a "how was your stay" or "have a nice day". Awful customer service!! In addition to that, the pool area at the Inn and the changing rooms were filthy. Being 37 weeks pregnant, I had bought a new bathing suit for the pool - what a waste of money that was - it was very old and dirty - the stairs (the only way to the pool) were covered in mud and dirt. Worse hotel pool I'd ever been in - and they call themselves a resort - I would not recommend.

Dear Andrew & Danielle,

Thank you for posting this feedback following your recent visit to Blue Mountain Resort, we value our guest feedback and the unique insights to our products and service delivery. We regret to see that we fell short of a timely arrival and your initial impression was that of an all-around negative experience. The level of service rendered by our associates is completely disappointing and very much out of character, typically we receive very positive comments about their high level of engagement and friendly service. We will ensure that our leadership team within the Front Office views your comments, to be used in ongoing update and training sessions. Yes, the pool at the Inn is the only indoor pool on resort, along with the 4 outdoor hot tubs, these facilities are generally very popular with guests of this location. The pool access is from the lower level of the Inn and requires a flight of stairs to gain access, we regret to hear that our common area cleaning associates had fallen behind and the stairs were not up to standard. We wish you all the best with your newest family member.
