“A great way to spend an afternoon.....”

My family always has a great time here, whether it be going to the Plunge waterpark or just walking around the village. It has a great atmosphere and it makes you feel miles away from home.

“Still Maturing Disney for Skiers”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 15 March 2012

The village is the right idea for this area considering how popular the area is for skiing. Some may think the place is trying too hard to be what it's not, it not being Whistler and especially not anyplace in Europe. The village lacks it's own Ontario character. Having never been to Mount Tremblant I'd be interested to see how this compares - I'd expect Tremblant to have some sense of authenticity that this place lacks. The stores, at least, are all geared towards skiers/snowboarders and their families. Higher end stores mostly, but the new building nearer the road is still looking for retailers. The gigantic parking lots don't help with the atmosphere and neither does the kids water park in the centre (though we loved it). But obviously Ontarians are desperate to spend their money since they're willing to pay exhorbidant prices ($300+ per night) just to stay in the village. Maybe the markets there, maybe they just need to make it even bigger. An arcade would be nice.

If you have more money than taste you may enjoy yourself here for about 20 minutes. By all means, walk around but save your money by eating or shopping somewhere else. It looks nicer from a distance and with snow.
