I visited several times the Quinta do Tagus in the last three years. Sometimes only for dinner, others for a nice drink. I'm from Lisbon, and it's so hard to find a cool place, with a beautiful view and where it's not crowded and disorganized. In Quinta do Tagus I really have the feeling to be in paradise: it's, without any doubts, the most fantastic panoramic view from Lisbon. The staff is amiable and helpful. And the place is modern and classy at the same time.
In December, I made my wedding dinner here and stayed for the first time for the night. I was in the big room on the main building, with a panoramic view of the ocean. The commodities are amazing, luxury and super comfortable. The breakfast exceeds our expectations. With such a fantastic place and view, it's hard not to start your day with positive and good feelings. Thanks, Quinta do Tagus!

Lack of organization
• At our request, hotel organised airport taxi transfer on our arrival, and it was agreed that we would pay hotel on checkout. However on our arrival the driver informed us that we were to pay him directly, receptionist at hotel did not seem to know anything about this but did eventually settle the bill with the taxi driver.
• On our last night we informed the reception staff that we would be eating in the hotel’s restaurant, only to be told that the restaurant had been booked for a private function. They had omitted to inform us that hotel guests were not able to eat in the hotel that evening. They admitted that they should have informed us days beforehand. Hotel did arrange for pizza to be delivered.

Location
• Remote, definitely need a car, cannot rely on taxis, even after being told taxi would arrive within 5 mins, we had to wait for over 40 minutes before taxi arrived and the same on the return journey.
• There is a water treatment plant near the hotel, if the wind is blowing in the wrong direction you get a strong sewage smell.
• Across the water there was a music event taking place and the music was loud enough to cause disturbed sleep until 2am.

Facilities
• Pool area had lots of broken tiles and sharp metal lamps which were dangerous.
• No hotel information in rooms.
• No information about what to do in case of fire or other emergency.
• Reception not always manned.
• Lighting in room not good lots of missing lights / flickering bulbs.
• In our room there was NEVER any hot water to wash every day other parts of hotel did have hot water.

Stayed one week in this beautiful quinta and will definately go back. André, Tiago and everyone else at the quinta were so very friendly and more than willing to help out with everything. Thank you all for making our stay fantastic!
We had great tips and advice about places to visit and what the best way to travel would be. They were always interested in how your day had been and always greeted us with a smile. The view from the quinta is outstanding. It is in a quiet area on the other side of the river. You are overlooking the city of Belem, Lisbon, Cascais, the bridge and its river and the mountains of Sintra in the back . You can also see the ocean in the back. Beautiful flowers are planted in the gardens and the pool area is lovely . The 3 little dogs were also very friendly ( only allowed outside). We were staying in the sea suite and loved the calm feel and spacious bathroom. The view was great as was the bed! The breakfast was also amazing with eggs, juice, pancakes, a big bowl of fresh fruit and bread. They serve breakfast at the table. You can have lunch or diner at the Tagus restaurant. I suggest you take the sushi ... so yummy!
There are two ways to travel into the city if you don't want to take the car in. ( it is useful to have a car because it is located in a quiet area). You can parc the car at Porto Brandao ( five minutes drive) and take the Ferry to Belem, or you can parc the car at the tram stop ( about 2km from the quinta), take the tram to the end of the line ( 20 minutes) and take the Ferry to Lisbon center. Both will only cost you a few Euro's to get there and back. Other places worth visiting are Sintra and the surrounding area, Sesimbra and the surrounding area, and if you like to visit the beach it is only ten minutes away as well.
We booked a massage at the quinta. Paula really knows what she is doing and makes you feel very relaxed. Best massage I have ever had!
As you can read, this is the place the be when coming to Lisbon and looking for a beautiful place to stay not far from the city.

The location is somewhat remote being the other side of the River from the city. However, when one drives into the "village" the charm and beauty is very evident. The welcome from our host was sincere and showed pride in this family enterprise. Our room was spacious and overlooked the pool and the stunning view of Lisbon. The breakfasts were delightful and the staff were very helpful and friendly. We stayed 4 nights and enjoyed our stay and would recommend this accommodation- very relaxing and tranquil.

Room Tip: We had the bottle room which was delightful with a great view.

It was just a dinner but we got a true magic experience.
Very professional and simpatic staff, great view and a good gastronomic experience.
Not cheap, but once you get there, you can feel that it does worth it.
