10 minutes from Killyleagh village and 1/2 hour drive towards Strangford Lough and the mountains of Mourne. Beautiful breathtaking scenery.
On arrival at the cottage the owners had left a welcome pack of fresh farm eggs, potatoe farls, butter, and a home made pot of damson jam, a lovely touch.
Cottage great for dogs and children, safe garden plenty to explore.
Had everything we required home from home, thank you Kelsie.
Have had a excellent time. Kelsie and David are excellent hosts. Very friendly and helpful. The Cottage is very well equipped. Great views and the Woods are great for walks . Visited all the local attractions. Killyleagh is a lovely town also loved Crossgar. Will return.

We stayed a week in 'our' little cottage deep in the heart of the County Down countryside. Out our window were mountains in the distance, clouds, hills, hedges, water, birds, horses and trees. This is a very peaceful spot, but not far from the lovely village of Killyleagh (visit the Dufferin Arms for dinner, atmosphere and Guiness). Our hosts were so kind and helpful and we were reluctant to move on.
If you do go in winter, it would pay to have some slippers and get the wood fire cranked up! We learned to set it ready for our return so that we were soon cosy and warm. Our welcome package was very tasty and our son got a good taste for soda farls. I hope we are able to come again one day.
