Yup, that was the wonderfully to the point response when I asked for the wine list, so we gave it a go and went for the red option. Young fruity and lightly cooled, it was perfect for the evening. Very generous starter of juicy melon and tasty dry cured prosciutto, was followed by rare steaks for the 'grown ups' and home made ravioli for the 'teen'. Very tasty with efficient service. Standard Italian desserts, also well presented and tasty Washed down with some Limoncello and espresso for good measure. As with all but one group of diners we opted to sit outside in a quadrangle courtyard which had a lovely ambience, and being in the centre of Orte had that 'living history' angle which is always a pleasure. It is a seafood restaurant, but only on certain days. We 'chose unwisely' in that regard! I saw it had been while since someone had reviewed the Taverna, so I hope this updates things for those who wish to visit!
