“Awesome accomodation”

Mary and it's familly have renewed this old typical house with a lot of taste.
All bed linen are furnished and this is good quality bedding.
You dispose a washing machine and a dryer which is very useful in Ireland because of the wet weather.
The house is not equiped with Internet but 100m from the house you can find the Linnane's pub, which offer free wifi with a good data bandwidth.
The house is equiped with a large flat TV cabled for local DTV and satelite TV.
The house is well situated: 20 min. for Moher Cliffs, 15 min. for Burren, closest supermarket at 10min in Ennistimon. There are also some facilities in Kilfenora (post office, proximity shop, restaurant, pubs with live irish music, tourism information center...)

“A fantastic place to stay”

We have just returned from a fantastic week at this cottage and will certainly be looking at going back next year. Just off the main street in Kilfenora, the cottage is close enough to walk to local shops and pubs yet just far enough away to give total peace and quiet. A mix of the old and new, the main living room brought back wonderful childhood memories of sitting in front of the fire chatting for hours whilst the newer kitchen/diner felt like we were in a new built house. The owner lives close by so all needs can be catered for.
Local sights that must be visited are the Cliffs of Moher and the Ailwee Caves and a stop off for a bit of surfing in Lahinch is a must. The beach at Fanore is one of the best we have ever been to and with so many ghost stories abound my teenagers loved the stay during Halloween.
No stay in Kilfenora can be complete until the Bacon and Cabbage dinner from Vaughan's has been tried - you may struggle to finish a Guinness after such good food.
Highly recommend Fair Green Cottage, Kilfenora and Vaughan's.

Liked best: The mix of old and new. Sat around the fire at night whilst having breakfast in the fantastic new kitchen.
Liked least: Coming home.

“Best Family Holiday”

Fabulous house. Traditional irish with all mod cons you need. Honest with light and heat bills (metered). Warm welcome, they even got in milk, bread, bikkies and pasta so we could have a drink and some food once we arrived.

The house is clean and spacious. All towels and linens were supplied, as well as cleaners and detergents.

Personal service, was told to call if we needed anything which was great. Loats of tourist info in the house so you can plan your days, also money off attraction offers and coupons with the info so we got half price for all the family for the caves/birds of prey show and cliffs of Mohar cruise.

The children loved the house, its close to all necessary amenities and short driving distance to all tourist attractions. I highly recommend The Rock Shop for gifts from Clare and for the high amount of fossels for sale - including real dinosaur teeth, dinosaur egg shells, and full fossels of jurassic lizards! I had to convince my partner to stop there and it ended up one of our favourite places. I also recommend the cliffs of Mohar cruise - however make sure you bring warm clothes as it can be wet and rough!!

In short it was the best family holiday we ever had. There isnt much free attractions however everything is competitively priced and we saved about €250 by booking online before our holiday started, or by phoning and booking from the holiday home so planning is essential.

Hello.

Thanks for review. We had issues with our wifi in the cottage and we hope to have it working again in early 2016. Apologies regarding that, and I hope Linnane's Pub had sufficient WiFi for you!

Talk to you soon and keep in touch,

Mary
