“Lovely villa in a beautiful setting”

We spent a lovely 10 days at villa Sofia, the villa has everything you could need, extensive stocked kitchen, iron, hair dryer etc. All 3 bedrooms have air conditioning and ample storage facilities, living room very comfortable. Some inflatables and pool side toys for the children - pool area is perfect for lazy days.
A 15 minute stroll down to a good sized supermarket a further 5-10 minutes down to the harbour, shops and restaurants, road is dark when coming back after a night out, we would get a taxi back to the villa only €7.
Sofia very good at responding to email, Fernando very helpful at the villa, we had a lovely welcome pack on arrival; wine, fruit, water and some lovely local food - very much appreciated after an early flight.
We would have no hesitation in booking this villa again

“Great villa for a small family”
Reviewed July 29, 2015 for a stay in July 2015

We stayed here for one week in early July with two young children (5 and 8) and had a very relaxing family holiday. The villa is in the traditional Mallorcan style so is rustic rather than modern. It deal feel a little smaller than the pictures show but is immaculately clean and well kept. The grounds are very private and the outside area around the pool and terrace is really beautiful with a spectacular mountain backdrop. Sophia was very helpful throughout the booking process and left us a few welcome treats in the fridge on arrival. A few tips are to bring your own pool tools as none are provided. Given the low luggage allowance for most airlines these can really add to the weight and it wouldnt take much for the owners to provide these and replace them periodiciallly as most villas we have stayed in provide these as standard. Also if you are staying in summer bring mosquito repellant. All in all, although a little on the expensive side this is a beautiful villa. We had a wonderful relaxing holiday and we wouldn't hesitate to stay here again.

Thanks!

“Average”
Reviewed July 8, 2015 for a stay in July 2015

The villa Sofia is quaint ,rustic and a little dated the interior is what I suppose is called Majorcan decor ,comfortable settees but a lounge set of chairs and table of a size you would find in a children's nursery .on the wall is a 42 inch satellite TV showing around 60 international channels non of which were in English the one downside is there is no WiFi when I enquired about this I was told it was to maintain the villas rustic charm (42inch satellite TV with one massive dish in the driveway). The air con in the bedrooms is fantastic and much needed as was the pool which we really made the most of.
Overall its a nice place to use as a base for exploring the surrounding areas it is quite a hike into town or to the beach but it is advised that it's 700 mtrs however I do think a car is essential especially if you have young children or not so agile relatives as well as being a must for the shopping essentials.
I liked villa Sofia ,but it just didn't have the wow factor but then everyone has their own opinions as other reviews show, would I go back saddly no,would I go back to pollensa definitely yes.

Management Response
7 Jan 2016
Thank you for taking your time and writing this review. Any suggestions are always appreciated.
Regarding the table you mentioned in the living room, it's true it has a small size and actually the kids love to sit there to play. I wanted to add that we do have a big table in the kitchen, another big one in the porch and a few smalls in the terrace.
For another hand I can ensure it's plenty of English channels but sometimes there are mixed that's why we advise our guests not to retune channels or change the order.
Finally I affirm we don't have Wifi, because we try to have a ecological philosophy. As our pool is maintained with a little quantity of chlorine, we also use ecological cleaning products, the linen and towels are washed with ecological products, also the trees has not chemical products, etc.
The TV Satellite I think is essential, and we can not avoid it, it's a daily need in our society.
I can add that there is Wifi along all the Puerto Pollensa beach for free.

Thanks to stay with us and sad to listen that you wont to stay with us again.
Best Wishes,
Sofia

“Lovely, relaxing stay in a beautiful place :)”

Villa Sofia is a very private and beautifully authentic mallorcan villa. It is decorated tastefuly throughout and importantly very clean and well-kept. It is ideal for a small family, the pool (although cold) is a good size and my children (aged 9 and 5) loved it! On arrival we were shown around the villa by the owner, Fernando who was extremely courteous and helpful. Mallorcan delights were also left in the fridge for us to sample, which I thought was a lovely gesture. The villa has a large garden which my children enjoyed exploring once they had tired of pool activities. The villa is only a short distance away from the supermarket and a 10-15 minute walk to the town square/beach. Only downside was the mosquito's however they tended to feast on the adults rather than the children and are to be expected this time of year. All in all another great holiday in Puerto Pollensa :)

“Fantastic Villa - made the holiday!”

A group of 6 of us stayed at Villa Sofia for 10 nights. Communication prior to the holiday was fantastic and Sofia provided all the information we needed re: getting to the villa and the exact location, making our journey seamless. The villa was perfect and exactly what we were looking for; very clean, spacious bedrooms, beautiful gardens/surroundings and excellent swimming pool. On arrival, we had a food package in the fridge - some lovely local goodies which were very much appreciated! Cannot recommend this villa highly enough, and I am sure we will be back at some point in the future.

“Fabulous Villa”

Had a wonderful 60th birthday here in May with family. The owners have got this just right, it was beautifully clean and well maintained, and the lovely touch of a welcome food pack was much appreciated. Sofia is a wonderful girl, and was very helpful to us in our hour of need. Ideal for a quiet getaway place to stay, a bit of a trek back after a night in town, a taxi costs next to nothing so would recommend as it's quite dark walking back down the lanes. We've been coming to Pollensa for 30 years and it still retains a quaint Spanish resort without the commercialism. Highly recommend you give it a try.
