Description: It is situated in the Blackdown Hills on the Devon/Somerset border. The pub has spectacular views as it looks across the Culm Valley. We offer outstanding food from the restaurant from our ever-changing special board and our menu. We also have a selection of local beers.

Went there for lunch with friends new to the area. Let's be positive the food, was ok but that'd where it ends. The reception we received was less than welcoming in fact
I felt guilty for turning up and asking for lunch. As for the service - poor, waiting for 45 mins for "cold food" is unacceptable, especially when each meal was bought out at different times over a five minute period. Sorry we won't be back

This place was so special we had to go back the next day!
Providing some special fish dishes the sharing seafood platter was divine. But don't share! Have it all yourself. And the pudding were breathtaking. I had summer pudding with clotted cream! It had sparkly glitter and was wonderful.

Called in at lunch time on a wonderful sunny day. Probably the last summer! The views from the garden across the valley are stunning. We had a scallop dish with samphire and crusty bread which was excellent.. The chef came out and discussed the menu which was a nice touch. The beer was well kept.

Food was OK but took SOoooo long to arrive.
When it eventually turned up, the broccoli and stilton soup starter was excellent.
Our main courses were fine but did not appear until 90 minutes after our arrival.

Yes - it was a Saturday night and possibly busier than normal but, if you know there is going to be a significant delay in serving the food, please tell us at the outset. Or don't take so many bookings if you can't cope with them.

We walked to Half Moon from our campsite. It took us half an hour but worth it. We enjoyed a few Real Ales and both had Ploughmans lunch and a summer pudding with clotted cream for pudding ( well we did have to walk back) Food and Ale was very good and the staff very helpful and friendly. Would recommend as rest of the menu looked good too. Shame we don't live closer.
