Description: Ruta del Mulhacen Restaurant in Pampaneira offers traditional cuisine, which recalls the authentic alpujarrenian flavors of yesteryear. Some dishes are made with local and organic products to demonstrate the art of cooking in the Alpujarra. The menu encompasses family traditions handed down to Angelina by her mother "Grandma Marina". Angelina Martin, manager of the restaurant, has been collecting customs and traditions through the generations, deeply rooted in the territory, adapted to their environment and respectful with Nature.

In this beautiful village, this restaurant offers a great option for a beautiful lunch on the good sized roof terrace. Views are great, the breeze from the Sierras, and solid tasty food. What more could you ask for? We really enjoyed this spot. It has a prime location when entering the village so is very easy to find.

We were staying in another village and came across this restaurant by accident. So glad we did we had a lovely welcome and brilliant service from the gentleman in charge who didn't forget anyone despite being very busy.
The restaurant is very traditional in decor and we sat on the roof terrace which was very pretty with a lovely view of the town square. Blankets are available for when it gets cooler- a lovely touch.
The food was yum- a good choice if traditional dishes and drinks and it was prompt and well cooked.
Would definitely recommend this restaurant for a relaxing, well made dinner where you feel well looked after.

We stayed in Bubion for a week on a walking holiday. We sat up on the terrace in the warm February sun and had the most fantastic meal. We all agreed the best meal that we had had all week. Would highly recommend the Alpujarran menu of the day. One of the few places that served some veg with meat!!!

Although the menu del dia never changes, it is so comfy and great service, lovely service in one of Spains nicest hill town. A litre of red wine was only 8 euros and as a veggie(my third trio there!!) there were two or three great choices

I had an apartment in Almunecar for 12 years and stayed there during the winter months.
We always visited this village and this restaurant during our stay and especially when visited y friends.
The journey is a good 1 and a half hour drive from the coast, the first part on the dual carriage way to Granada then steadily climbing high up into the hills on well Tarmaced but narrow roads.
The restaurant is also a nostalgic.
There are stairs or a lift up to the restaurant and terrace on the second floor so giving panoramic views of the valley and theAlpuharras, with snow in the winter.
The food is attractively served and the staff attentive.
The best value is the lunch time menu del dia.
The decor is attractive and the view into the kitchen on the first floor is interesting.
