Fantastic small friendly hotel in a great location for exploring the Salento region of Puglia.
Relaxing stay in a very nice room. The staff were friendly and approachable, offering good recommendations for both restaurants and sites/beaches to visit.

A museum of the tannery business and a fine hotel, all integrated in the most beautiful way. To descend into the caves of the tannery is a must - and meet the "monster" in the well. They have managed to restore the buildings and combine it with modern installations. The staff is extremely welcoming and very nice, you are offered a varied breakfast buffet. Absolutely my favourite hotel

Corte dei Francesi: we could not have picked a better place for our stay in Maglie (which was an excellent mid-point to explore the countryside towns and those along the coasts of the Adriatic and Ionian Seas). "Mama" (the owner) and her daughters were a joy and very helpful. Pamella was a delight and prepared and served regional specialties at breakfast (included with the room price). Our sleeping room was very clean and beautiful: canopy-draped king sized bed; comfy sofa; storage drawers built into the stone walls; walk-in closet; and, double sinks in the bathroom. The breakfast room was incredible (as was the breakfast), located in "carved stone walls" with sections of glass to see the excavation work below. The staff also gave us complimentary tickets to the castle in Gallipoli and very god recommendations concerning local restaurants. This place is a great find and deserves an A plus rating! You will be happy you chose the Corte dei Francesi for your stay.

Room tip: Room F was absolutely delightful; huge room, walk in closet double sinks in the large bathroom and in the back of the hotel so very quiet.

The architect who converted the old tannery into this stunning little hotel was brilliant, imho! The combination of the modern features with the remains of an old tannery, complemented with contemporary furniture and pottery yielded a stunning result!
Our room was large and comfortable, and so was the bathroom.
This is a great base to explore the region: Lecce, Gallipoli, Otranto. ANd the town of Maglie is also quite lovely, especially in the evening when the stores are open and the locals gather on the main square.

Corte dei Francesi is a wonderful place! Clean, beautiful, sophisticated: a great place for work or vacation. It is a historical palace, but with all the technological equipment needed for contemporary life! Chiara and Veronica are kind and knowlegeable: two great hosts!
