Cabañas Honu Iti is located just outside Hanga Roa. The Rapa Nui Museum is at 4 minutes walking distance. Walking along the coast to Hanga Roa is pleasant and takes 15 minutes. The accommodation is owned and managed by a young family. The owner is the son of the owner of the Cabañas next door, and is welcoming and helpful.
The cabin is nice, new, spacious, comfortable, well maintained, stand-alone and clean. You have the ocean and Ahu Tahai and Ahu Ko Te Riku nearby. Both moai are popular with sunsets.
Our had a room with a double bed and a room with 3 single beds. Al was was practically decorated and furnished. The bathroom was separate with washbasin, toilet and shower. We also had a living-room with TV, table & 4 chairs, a bench that can be turned into an extra bed, a well-equipped kitchen and in front of the cabin a terrace with table & chairs. Windows can be opened. All was very clean.
The cabin is comfortable and provides quality. Complimentary Wi-Fi Internet and shuttle to the airport by the owner. We stayed for a week and we couldn’t have been happier with the accommodation. Highly recommend.

Wow!! This place is where to be. First I must say that it was super clean , you have everything you need to cook and the host Esteban and his family will accommodate you for everything you need. You cant have a better location than this place, is quiet and peaceful, surrounding by flowers, also theres and a nice view to the sea.
But the nicest thing I found is that you are between 5-10 mins walking to the most popular place to watch an amazing sunset!!! (Ahu Tahai)
5 mins walk more and you are downtown.
It’s the perfect mix between being out downtown but at the same time have everything near, so you wont need a car for everything.
Remember that your are in an island, literally in the middle of nowhere so if your plan is to be stuck on your phone and internet... well you better plan a trip somewhere else!!
Seriously I recommend you this place by far without hesitation!
