We loved our stay here - most comfortable bed we have ever had in Greece and great shower which remained hot even with our 3 days of rain - all the staff were very helpful and kind - thoroughly recommend

Best hotel we have ever stayed in! Friendly and very helpful staff. The hotel is located on a quiet small road of the main road while still being near everything you could possibly need. It's very clean with a nice rooftop bar and pretty pool, wish we could have stayed longer! We appreciated the small kitchenette which allowed us to prepare some snacks for the following day. My only (very minor) complaint would be their strongly scented cleaning products which make me break out in itchy bumps.
All in all we were very happy to stay there and would love to return someday.

The interior design of the hotel is beautiful and the rooms are clean and tidy. The staff and owner are extremely friendly and helpful. We felt at home as soon as we arrived! And the receptionist was very helpful in suggesting places, beaches and events to visit! The location is very convenient - on a walking distance to popular beach bars in Chania, and 20 minutes from Chania old harbor by car or if you take the bus the stop is near by the hotel. It is also convenient if you are planning to visit other places in Chania as the access to the national road is very easy from the hotel. In addition, the hotel has a great and very relaxing roof bar with beautiful sea view (especially during sunset).

Room Tip: sea view!!

Lovely hotel just across the road from the beach. We had a studio with a kitchen area. Clean, spacious and comfortable room in beautiful white & blue Greek style. Proper double bed, very comfortable. Paying extra for the sea view was totally worth it, though there were some small buildings of beach cafés on the way. Nice balcony with furniture and a drying rack. Seems like owners and staff really think how to make your beach vacation comfortable.

Superb breakfast. It's not a buffet and there are options to choose from, continental, Cretan or English breakfast. We tried Cretan (8 euro) and continental (6 euro) and they both were delicious and huge -- even continental breakfast had several courses, generous ham & cheese toasts, bowl of yoghurt with honey, very good fresh orange juice and coffee, etc. Breakfast is served in the hotel bar on the roof terrace with sea view.

The staff is very helpful, polite and sociable. Everybody speaks English (everybody we meet on Crete actually). Special thanks to the ladies who work in the bar and serve breakfast. :)

You can borrow beach towels at the reception which is very convenient.

Every member of staff at the Seagull Hotel was friendly, professional and helpful. We were especially impressed with Anna Maria at the reception desk. She gave us lots of excellent advice about places to visit and the best restaurants to eat at locally and in Chania. The hotel is well maintained with beautiful bedrooms that have been refurbished with new bathrooms including sleek modern fittings. The kitchens have also been refurbished with modern units and fittings. The beach is a 3 minute walk away and if you go to Megusta beach bar and restaurant directly across the main road you can get free sun beds and parasol if you buy a drink. Plenty of sun beds around the pool at the Seagull hotel also so you have a great choice of where to relax.

Room Tip: Only a few rooms have a proper sea view. We had a free upgrade to sea view room but in reality it was a restricted view of the sea.
