Had a beautiful night at this beachfront restaurant. We had seen a recommendation for Vaima, it was a little hard to find but well worth the effort. Was a great idea to book as the place was really busy. Excellent service.

Ten years ago we visited the Viama Restaurant and thoroughly enjoyed our meal there and we wanted to return on a recent visit to enjoy the food again although we thought that there may be different owners. We were very surprised to hear on our arrival that the restaurant that we had been to had been burnt to the ground and a new one built. This has outdoor dining by the water as on of the options for customers. We were most fortunate that the night we were there it was warm with little or no wind blowing. We took the opportunity to eat outside by the beach and had a most enjoyable meal. There appeared to be plenty of wait staff and the food and service was excellent in a wonderful location. Just check your bill before you pay for your meal as I found that there was an additional bottle of wine that had been put on our account. I explained that we didn't have it and there was no problem for them to take this off as the additional $40 would have made it an expensive evening if it had gone unnoticed!

We came here for a special anniversary dinner. Our cocktails which took 20mins to arrive tasted like salt water - yuck! Then 1.5hrs later our meals started arriving. The salt & pepper squid was yummy but that's where it ends. I got the fish curry. I couldn't eat it. It was so over cooked. The 'roti' was a dry bought tortilla wrap. So disappointing. My husband got the chicken wrapped in bacon. It was equally overcooked and inedible. We heard others at different tables complaining about the very long wait as well. As we left the matre de asked how our meals were and I very kindly said that we didn't like it very much because it was all over cooked. She was like 'oh that's a shame' and that was it. Will never go back! We have since been told that they have a new chef or owners or something like that.

Great family run restaurant which provided a fantastic dining experience . Restaurant recommended by our accommodation manager. Great pick up & drop off service from accommodation . Our table was on the beach with a great view of the Lagoon & the sunset. Recommend " fish of the day" and Fish curry. The staff service was first class . Recommend going 6.15pm to see sunset

We spent 4 nights in Raro, and visited Vaima twice. It was recommended to us, and it was excellent. The food was delicious and the service was easy, professional, and awesome! They even picked us up from our resort and drove us back, so we could enjoy a wine or 3. Highly recommend.
