I had been whale watching years ago, and I prepared my teenagers for the possibility that we might not see any/ many whales. On this trip, our guides were warm and informative, and able to gear the information provided to the little ones on board as well as the teens and grownups. We saw a range of seabirds, seals, and many many whales. We were truly awed by the groups of 7 and 8 humpbacks, and it felt like our boat was respectful of the creatures while still providing a wonderful experience for us. A great hands-on demonstration and information session was provided to everyone on the trip back to further enrich our experience, again taking into account the range of participants. And cookies and drinks were serve to add to the celebratory air of a fantastic whale watching experience!

We went out on the 12:30 p.m. whale watch on July 7. It was a beautiful day. At first we saw a few humpback whales here and there, but towards the end of the cruise, the captain and crew found a group of five humpback whales swimming together. The boat stayed with the whales for 20 or 30 minutes. The whales were so close to the boat! We saw them surface many times! This was a thrilling tour. We loved it!

We took our US visitors to Brier Island for an unfogettable whale watching adventure. We cannot say enough about this wonderful experience, from beginning to end. Penny and her team were incredible, interested in where people were travelling from, extremely informative, and so accommodating. We were so fortunate to see a baby humpback whale, cavorting in the water with his mom, and the first breach of the 2018 season. Before our tour was over we had the great (and unusual) privilege of seeing seven whales altogether in one area. We will never forget this humbling and truly awe inspiring day. Thank you to Amy for sharing so much knowledge of the whale's ecosystem, and for the interesting overview on our return trip (we could see the children on board really enjoyed this educational session). Also thank you for the hot drinks and (for those who did not dress for the open seas), the consideration for comfort with offers of blankets. Remember, when you take this journey, it is cool on the ocean, you are out in open waters on the Bay of Fundy. Bring warm layers so you can spend all your time and energy focusing on observing these majestic creatures. Thanks to everyone, we and our guests will be talking about this day for years to come!

Thank Mary M
