The hotel is in good location (ski in/out), and you can buy ski passes with 10% discount at hotel. And that's all about good things.

We were group of 6 familes (adults and children).
We stayed in appartments in House 2.
The appartment for 6 people (4 adults and 2 children) was spacious but rather dirty. When we arrived the floors were not properly cleaned, and there were spider webs hanging from the ceiling in the bedrooms. Also, there were electricity wires hanging out from the ceiling too.

On our departure day a cleaning lady banged on our door at 8.30 am and started shouting at us that we had to clean the apartment before we go, saying that we need to wash all the dishes, clean the fridge, take the garbage out, mop the floors and wipe all the kitchen surfaces with a paper towel. If not so, that the hotel would not return a deposit of EUR100.
She was really rude, and we think that it wasn't right to be told off by a cleaning lady. Afterall,we were guests and did not do anything wrong!
That was a shock, especially because we had to pay beforehand EUR 95 cleaning fee.

GMS signal was poor in a room, and one had to be close to the terrace to be able to talk on mobile.
There is no WIFI in rooms, only near the reception.

The beds are rather outdated, and some pillows were old and not comfortable to sleep on, and two of the duvets were much thiner than the others.

The kitchen has some utensils but for example, had only 2 small spoons.
There are no modern facilitiies (like microwave) just electrical cooker, water heater and coffee maker.
The fridge is rather small for 6 people, and if you take into account that there are no food shops on the mountain, and is rather complicated to go up/down the mountain in a winter period.

The hotel is reachable by a narrow private road, and in winter period snow chains are a must. Unfortunately, the hotel doesn't tell you that fact by default, and therefore many people get stuck at the bottom of the mountain.
Unfortunately, that happend to some people on our arrival.
The hotel doesn't have spare snow chains for lending (for a fee) but can sell you for not less than EUR 200?!

The reception is open until 8pm, and at 8.01pm they put the blinds down. So if you have any problem you have to wait until morning!
So make sure you come on time otherwise you may reach the hotel a little bit late, and find out that the reception is closed and that noone can give you the keys for your room.

Also, the site tells you that the hotel has a pool and a spa area, but doesn't tell you that is only reachable from House 1 and not from House 2. So, if you arrive in winter period and wish to have a swim you need to put the coat on and walk down to the House 1 where the pool is. And risk pneumonia on your way back to the hotel.
Or have crying children who don't understand why they cannot go to the pool.
The pool area is also not too clean, and there are no proper chaniging rooms and lockers, but one big room with a lond bench and hangers on the wall where you can leave your clothes and risk that someone steels them.
The bathrobes and towels for the pool are not left at the room, you have to get them at the reception at extra cost.

The ski room is also not reachable from House 2!
And ski rooms are not locked so anyone can come and take any of the ski equipment. That happened during our stay (there was a notice on the wall !)

We are definitely not coming back .

We stayed in a self catering apartment for 1 week from 23 to 30 Dec. The apartment was very clean and well equipped with great views. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The apartment was self catering but we had the Gala Dinner at the hotel on 24 Dec. The food and service were fantastic. Access to the ski slopes of Gerlitzen is very easy. The spa is very relaxing after a hard day on the piste. Highly recommended.

We have chosen to visit mountains and lakes this year for our summer vacation. So this time we booked our accomodation in Almresort Gerlitzen. We got lovely apartment almost bigger than our home. Kitchen, bathroom, so many closets, living room, tv, balcony, pretty bedroom, and the view.
We had amazing view from our balcony where we saw Villach and lakes and the castle etc. So pretty in the night too.

There is so much to do there we kinda feel sad we didn't have more than just 2,5 days there.
We did some hiking, not much but it was really nice. We went down to the lake with cable car and did some swimming and sunbathing on the lake. We also visited the castle - Burg Landskron.

Back in the hotel we loved the food and our waiter Edi. He was so nice and professional. Also, food was delicious, both for breakfast and for dinner.

Even though we are not snow people, we don't ski, but we can see ourselves up there enjoying the view from a warm cabin or a room and enjoying just a little bit snow.

The resort is large, very close to the slopes, easy access by ski. Things we did not like: the ski rooms are in the maze of the garage, one has to open about 6-7 heavy, iron doors to get in and out. A pain with kids.
We choose self catering. The kitchen is not equipped with microwave nor oven, hence warming food and cocking is a challenge.
Liked: rooms are large, comfortable, the resort is very clean. Bed-linen and towels are provided. The resort is conveniently located at the mid station on Gerlitzen.

Dear Hajnal,

thank you very much for your feedback!

We are planning to locate the ski room near the exit to the skiway - so no more openning heavy doors to reach the slopes!

We are looking forward to welcoming you next winter in our Almresort
