Beautiful park not far from Mantua. Great manteinance of gardens, flowers and nature around, but the price of ticket (12,50 € just for the entrance) is quite high. Any further services (such as bike rental or golf car rental to visit the park) has a high price per hour rent as well. So the whole price for a family (which is the main target of visitors) is very expensive, even in terms of no services provided.

Huge gardens with various areas. Large array of acers, Small ponds, a maze, deer enclosure to name but a few. I spend 5 hours there and didn’t see everything!

There are plenty of eating areas but these were busy so I would recommend taking a picnic.

Golf carts can be hired at €18 an hour and can carry four passengers. However, walking is a better way round as you can explore all the small paths and areas.

We went to the park based on the beautiful pictures in a brochure. When we were there we were not really impressed. Some views were nice, but not as spectacular as we expected. Maybe we were there in the wrong season (end of September). What we liked most was cruising around in the golf cart. The herbs ands spices garden was also nice. In hindsight for us it was a waste of time and money...

This park is exactly like an American golf course, broad bentgrass fairways and an abundance of golf carts. If you are a golfer you'll probably want to skip this, it's not a notable course. If you are a non-golfer and want to walk a fairway course without fear of golfballs, then go for it. But don't rent a golf cart, the course is easily walkable, and the signs say "divieto de fermata" (don't stop), so you really would lose the experience in a cart.

We really enjoyed visiting the botanical gardens before heading out to Borghetto sul Mincio. Really beautiful, we had so much fun just walking around for a few hours.

This is a great park to spend half a day at. You can take a long stroll or rent some bicycles or golf cart to go around the park which is quite big so it might be tiring for some elderly people to just simply walk. There is also the small tourist train which goes round almost all the park, this is also another good way to see most of the park. There are nice paths and walking ways and I personally recommend walking around at your own pace. The only thing that this park lacked in my opinion where some restaurants or food stalls. We did come across 2 stalls but they only sold some ice creams and sandwiches, more like quick snacks rather than proper food but maybe this was because it was no longer high season.

Of course it needs a special touch to create and maintain so perfectly a big park and I assume the theme parks of the Verona area helped on this side. The park has been organized as the Gardaland one so you can find transport trains and electric caddies car to move around the huge park ( prepare to walk for kilometers and hours if you like to). Caddies are equipped with iPad guides so you receive the information of the area you are passing through, amazing! There are coffee shop with the best coffee in the world (close to the animal farm). The labyrinth is pretty big and brings you back a touch of The Shining memories. The entrance is 12,5 Euro but it worths the price. Enjoy!

We were on an organised trip, so didn't have very long in this beautiful park. We opted to take the Dotto train round to see as much as we could for 35 mins. This cost €3.50, or you can hire a golf buggy for an hour for €18, or even a bike! The park is quite spread out and it is hilly, so you need longer than we had, especially as the map wasn't very good. But what we saw was beautiful, but we were warned about the mozzies!

I cycled here with my two teenagers from Peschiera. The route there was lovely and flat and along a river and the park literature says it is situated alongside the river and path. What it does not tell you is that the entrance is on the opposite side to the river and you have to cycle (or in our case walk) up a huge great hill to get to the park.

Once in, you can use your own cycles and this did mean we got to see much more and saved us the 18 euros an hour needed to hire a golf cart or the hire charges on bikes on top of the 12.50 euro each entrance fee (My 2 teenagers were both considered adults). We had fairly basic bikes without gears and so struggled a bit on the climbs. On the descent, we kept getting stuck behind the mini-train which was impossible to overtake.

Having said that, the gardens were glorious with lots to see - my two loved the maze, the lily ponds with views onto the castle and all the animals to stroke and feed (food provided by the park). I loved the dog cemetery, the Hermitage, the views and the flowers. I think we saw almost everything in the three and a half hours we were there but I would happily have spent longer.

We enjoyed our visit to this park, even though the weather was so hot. We had to take 2 golf buggies since we were a group of 5 and buggies can only fit 4 persons. The only snag was that it's quite pricey since 1 hour is not enough to really appreciate the whole place (hence my 4 star rating). Still highly recommended!
