Very pleasant stay at bass lake over the Easter weekend. The campsites are quite large and well maintained. A bit more expensive than the average campsite but the campsite overall is smaller and therefore less noisy. There's a rule about no music so it is overall more peaceful. You can fish at the two lakes (although it seems the fish are reluctant to bite) and the kids can enjoy the pools, jungle gyms and game centre.

The ablution blocks are very well maintained and kept spotless throughout the weekend despite the muddy weather.

The only criticism I have, is to take the paddle boats off the dam. They make a lot of noise and ruin the ambiance of the peaceful dam.

All-in-all though, an incredible stay.

Unfortunately, the "Bass Lake" as advertised is none existing apart from a couple of mud pools and no bass fish in the one dam they do have. We are only aware of one small barbell caught by a neighbouring camper for the entire long weekend.
Even though the amenities were very well kept and clean, one cannot refrain from being disappointed on what they have to offer. Some of the items listed on the website was not on offer, and it was definitely a challenge to keep the children entertained during the course of the long weekend.

Was very impressed with the ablutions although the bath in the family bathroom was a little on the small size but nevertheless clean and tidy. Was disappointed in the levels of the dam's as it made fishing difficult and that was the main purpose of our visit.

I organized a meeting for over 20 people from all over the world over several days. The booking process was smooth and flexible. The rooms were comfortable, the meeting rooms excellent and the staff were superb. The food was excellent and people with dietary needs were looked after well. There was absolute consensus that it was an excellent meeting place. If I was to offer once constructive criticism, it is that the internet access in the rooms could be better, although it was OK n the meeting room.

Friends of ours recommended this place, and we were pleasantly surprised! Upon arrival we were greeted with cold fruit juice and friendly staff. The camping sites were clearly marked with mostly grass and some shade, surrounded by lush green plants. The ablution blocks were immaculate!

The swimming pool is child friendly - one deep pool and two for the kids. There are however no seating at all, just a few shady spots. Some chairs and tables would be make this spot much more attractive!

Although it was nice and quiet most of the time, were were woken up by loud drums on Saturday morning. This started again at night, and continued for quite a while. Upon arrival we were told that loud music would not be tolerated, so what about the drumming sessions? Does this not count as loud music then?

Overall not a bad camping trip, except for the drumming sessions.
