We have visited this winemaker several times with LoireValleyWineTour.com and found them on each occation both friendly and professional.
Ch. Gaudrelle produce a range of high quality still and sparkling wines from Chemin Blanc grapes and the tasting of their wines is extremely well explained. If you (and they) have time, they will often guide you around the cellars and underground production facilities and on one occation we were there as the grapes came in for pressing.
They speak English and can arrange deliveries for visitors from the USA.

We did a private tour & tasting @ this lovely small family owned winery. Charles was knowledgable & charming with an obvious passion about their wines. We bought 2 bottles on the spot for the train ride back to Paris, yummy.

Ten days ago, my wife and i went to the Loira castles and passed thorugh Vouvray. We visited the cave because we saw it on our way. I have multiple sclerosis and that´s why i´ve not tried any alcohol in many years. As a matter of fact, i tried the Chateau Gaudrelle and it was so good tasted that i bought three bottles. It was not hard tasted it was awesome. We are from Spain and we are not going to forget easily that nice - kind man and that artesanal cave in a long time. Thank´s, it was a great experience. Don´t forget to visit that cave if you go to Vouvray, even if you don´t know anything about alcoholic drinks like me, you won´t forget it.

There are many, many wineries one can visit as you drive in the vicinity of Tours, Vouvray and Amboise. Chateau Gaudrelle ranks as one of the best small family owned and operated wineries I've ever visited. Charles Morand is a splendid host who speaks fluent English. The 20 minute wine tour is quite interesting. We tasted all of the offerings afterwards and bought several bottles, not out of obligation, but because these wines are splendid!

If you happen to be visiting the region, make a call in advance and arrange an appointment to visit. You won't be disappointed.

After seeing the reviews on TA, we decided to stop in on our way back from Le Mans to Chenonceaux. Alexandre wasn't available immediately, so his friend took us for a private tour of the caves until he returned. We had the best time touring underground amongst the 300,000 bottles and barrels. They had a Belgian Shephard dog that was a fun accompaniment on the visit.

Afterwards the 4 of us went into the tasting room, where we enjoyed tasting the Vouvray and other wines. No sales pressure, but we found out that they have a distributor in San Francisco, so we ordered a mixed case for delivery to our home after we returned, as our luggage was already maxed out.

Both fellows, and Alexandre in particular were fun to visit with.
