“Walker's paradise”
Reviewed November 30, 2015 for a stay in November 2015

The cottage has everything you need for a comfortable stay. Owners are very friendly and provided a welcome pack. The village has a wide selection of pubs serving good food so no need to cook! What is fantastic about this property is you do not need to use your car to explore the local area. Plenty of walks from the cottage. Will return

“Little Gem ”
Reviewed November 20, 2015 for a stay in November 2015

Enjoyed our 2 day break in this little gem. Has everything you need for a comfortable stay. Plenty of walks closeby, lovely days spent in Buxton and Bakewell. Ideal place for a base to the Monsal Trail.
Lovely gesture by the hosts fresh milk, biscuits and chocolates on arrival.
I am sure we will be back again but for longer next time.

“Beautiful Cottage in tranquil surroundings”
Reviewed November 2, 2015 for a stay in October 2015

Had a lovely weekend away.

The cottage was lovely and the host made us feel very welcome.
It is surrounded by beautiful countryside. Perfect to get away from it all and we was blessed with nice sunny weather too which made it even better.
Didn't want to come back home.

Would definitely recommend this holiday rental.

Cosy little 'all in one' cottage, very well appointed, very well kept, very well cleaned. Direct entry into living area/kitchen, then two steps into the sleeping area and adjacent bathroom. We did not need anything else, this was perfect accommodation for two and two small dogs. There is a small fenced patio with outside seating, great for letting our small dogs for a breath of fresh air and to admire the views.
This place is in Peak District thus expect hilly village. Direct access to the Snake walking path. Good choice of pubs, the Sportsman is just up the road - good food and drink. We will definitely come back. Thank you Lorna.

“A perfect hideaway”
Reviewed September 14, 2015 for a stay in September 2015

A perfectly compact little cottage with everything to hand for a short break. The cottage is warm and cosy and the views from the bedroom window are beautiful. The surrounding area has some really spectacular scenery and handy for Buxton and Bakewell and not too far from the city of Manchester. Lorna the owner is lovely - helpful and friendly and very knowledgeable on the area. Our elderly dog made herself at home very quickly and was fascinated with the chickens , bantams and cockerel - who was put to bed each night so he wouldn't disturb us with his morning chorus! A very enjoyable few days.

Fabulous spot for our first holiday with our new rescue dog. Great little cottage, fitted out with everything we needed. Close to lots of great walking and handy for a whole heap of good pubs. Had a lovely relaxing time.
