“Not for long stays !!!”
1 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 25 March 2012

This hotel is really for one night stays only!!!

It is noisy - all doors bang and the furniture scrapes on the floor and all noises echo throughout the hotel.

There are lots of school parties that stay there and the kids run up and down the corridors shouting at all times of the day and night.

The rooms are unsecure (the keycard overrides the deadlock as well as the normal lock) - so never leave anything remotel valuable lying around either lock it in the safe in reception or a lockable suitcase in your room. Unfortunately we didn't and a camera and jacket was stolen from our room!

None of the cleaning staff speak or understand english. and even some of the reception staff have trouble understanding english.

Also we stayed in March (just got back yesterday) and the room was freezing all of the time. We had to use the heating fan which worked but was noisy.

Also this is an aparthotel, there was cups for a hot drink but no kettle and no microwave in our original room which got flooded on day two from a leaking pipe.

Also the much touted wifi was very patchy and often couldn't connect to the internet.

Finally the cafe was very limited with breakfast options and the service was slow even though we were the only customers.

All in all we had avery bad experience and cannot understand the four star rating it has got. To us it was more two star!!

Room Tip: Room on the South side are sunnier, but definately do not forget the EARPLUGS!!!!!

We stayed twice and both time were very happy.
The apartment had separate bedroom and living room, both of decent size, and kitchen with washing machine. The balcony was good size too with chairs, table and hanger. Basically everything you can possibly need is there.
Everything was super clean and neat. Bathroom and kitchen quiet modern.
There is a paid parking underground, but if you don't come in main season, you can park just in front of hotel for free.
The breakfast was really good and worth the money.
The only things to consider - the swimming pool looked small compared to the size of the hotel, so I guess that with summer season and hotel being full, that can be a problem.
The second thing is the location. For us it worked just fine, but it is out of city, far from beach and there are no shops or restaurants in walking distance. So you really should come with car. Then the city center is 5 mins, the same for a beach.
Overall - a great apartment, good deal for the money, I would come again.

I stayed at Alicante Hills earlier this year for a last minute weekend break with my wife. A taxi from the airport was around 15 euros and took us straight there. We were a couple of hours early arriving for check in and there was at first no where for us to go and put our bags but the receptionist Carmen was superb and very understanding as we were very tired from a night time / early morning flight. We waited for around an hour in the bar and killed a couple of jars and a room became available. I was amazed by the cleanliness and standard of the apartment, beautifully presented and very comfortable. The balcony faced the pool so it would be ideal for parents watching children.
We ventured outside that evening but unfortunately there is really nothing in the area within a reasonable walking distance so we decided to take a bus into the main town the next morning. As you would expect Alicante is full of bars and good eating places with a brilliant beach. I would recommend this hotel to anyone and i intend to stay there again for another short break sometime soon. I would however recommend that you hired a car or became very familiar with bus timetables and drop offs as we found that we would have liked to have spent a little more time outside of the apartment complex but this was our own fault.
A brilliant place for singles, couples and families alike.

Room Tip: Ask for a pool view room, you can choose from the poolside or the balcony for all day sun.

Very clean hotel with very friendly staff, ideal base if your exploring around the alicante area and you dont want to pay harbour hotel prices, but you will need a car as there is not much within walking distance, the hotel has its own cafe/restuarant which is very nice and the food is good too, they serve a continental breakfast which was very nice you can get it 1 euro cheaper if you book it the night before.
Very clean rooms and all areas surrounding the hotel, pool area very clean.
Overall a very pleasant stay.

I liked this hotel. It is a bit out of town but a taxi only cost 10 euros from town at night and there was a bus during the day. Apparments were large, clean and well equiped. Breakfast was good and well worth the money. Would stay here again if I was staying in Alicante.

I have to admit that I took an immediate dislike on arrival to this new complex of luxury apartments which reminded me vaguely of the Caremau hospital in Nîmes, and I suspect the accommodation here is being sold on a hotel basis until all the apartments are sold. This new complex feels somewhat austere and lifeless, but if you are after reasonably priced generous accommodation that is close to the city and airport (your own travel needed for both) you may well appreciate this. The pool area was adequate but seemed a bit grim, shoehorned into a space that made it feel more functional than recreational. The breakfast the following morning was first class. At €60 then for accommodation and breakfast this was undeniably great value.

Really disappointed with this accomodation mainly due to its location. We knew it was situated 6kms out of Alicante but thought it would be possible to walk into town or have a regular bus service. Neither was true, the walking option was impossible due to the fact that the route into town was on a motorway with no footpath. The bus schedule was difficult to work out and the buses infrequent, the elusive 27 bus proved impossible to catch. Got the C6 bus from the airport but it didn't stop at the stop near the Alicante Hills so had to pass by it and taxi back. Taxis were between 7-12 euro into Alicante which wasn't too bad but just would've been so much nicer to stay in a central location within walking distance of bars, restaurants, the beach and general holiday atmosphere of which there was zero of at the Alicante Hills.
The food was mediocre at breakfast and dinner was terrible especially the 'buffet' which consisted of soggy chips, chicken and ribs, very Spanish indeed. Everything in the salad bar was straight out of a can and the gourmet dessert consisted of the leftover breakfast fruit, not a cake nor an ice cream to be seen!!
The apartments themselves were basic but were cleaned daily and had AC so no complaints there. The pool was ok, water was a bit cold for the time of year.
So definitely no recommendations here for the Alicante Hills and lesson learned on location being very important, there was no local bar or shop even in the area.
