“Home from home”
Reviewed December 1, 2013 for a stay in August 2013

I have stayed here both in the winter and summer months. I enjoyed my visit so much in the winter that I wanted to return in the summer.
The property is very well equipped with everything you could need, the use of a dishwasher and washing machine makes life very easy. There is so much space both inside the house and outside, plenty of room to get the sun loungers out and soak up the rays. In winter the house is very cosy and the "stuffe" (wood burner) is amazing and throws out so much heat. We even discovered the outdoor pizza oven and had great fun creating and then cooking our pizzas and garlic bread.
You do need a car to make the most of this area but the village is a pleasant downhill walk where you can buy all you need (be mindful of opening/closing times of the shops though) or there are several places to eat and drink.
Although a pool would have been great there are several within easy driving distance where you can stay all day or half days for a reasonable fee. They all serve food/drinks/ice creams or you can even take a picnic.
In the winter we went skiing and you can be on the slopes in around 1 1/2 hours. The ski resorts are not on the radar of the usual British tour companies so were relatively quiet and the snow was great.
It was great dealing with the owner and I would not hesitate to recommend this for a home from home holiday where you can do as much or little as you want.

The property is a spacious barn conversion with a marvellous view over the valley. It is extremely well equipped and comfortably can accommodate 8 people, it is a short walk into the village where basic provisions can be bought and there are several eating places including a bar and some agriturismo's. we couldn't fault the food at any! We loved the space in the property, sitting on the terrace having a meal or just a glass of wine, very comfy beds and all spotlessly clean. Lovely places to visit nearby, Barola wine region, Alba to name but two, also the fantastic market at Cortemilia. We hope to return.

“Fantastic!”
Reviewed August 25, 2013 for a stay in June 2011

A great holiday retreat offering spacious yet very comfortable accommodation with everything you need for your stay whether it is in the summer or winter months. A well thought out conversion offering the living accommodation on the first floor to benefit from its stunning views of Prunetto and beyond. We have stayed here twice and have enjoyed both the tranquillity of the place as well as trips out exploring neighbouring villages and towns. You will need a phrase book to communicate with the friendly locals but once you’ve learned a few essential words, you will be able to shop those fresh food essentials which are a stone’s throw away! We loved it and will undoubtedly be booking up again in the future :)) 
