Beautiful house in the perfect location for visiting Northern Britanny. Plenty of space for friends or families holidaying together. We have stayed in the house twice (Christmas 2014 & New Year 2016). The house is equipped with everything you need. Restaurants and bars 2 minutes walk away. Historic Dinan on your doorstep. Highly recommended.

The location and the facilities of the accommodation were just perfect for our week's break. We had taken a week to attend a friend's birthday celebrations, adding some days to enjoy Dinan as well. It is conveniently located by the scenic port with its restaurants and bars, which we used lots, and has parking inside the gates. Walking up the hill leads to the lovely medieval town of Dinan. The accommodation is very well finished and equipped, and Wendy was very helpful with advice and guidance. We would recommend it to anyone considering a stay in Lanvallay near Dinan, without hesitation.

“Wonderful home for visiting Brittany”
Reviewed April 15, 2016 for a stay in March 2016

Our extended family of 8 loved this home. There was plenty of room. We didn't use the lovely kitchen to cook a meal but it seemed to be well equipped. We enjoyed our walks up to Dinan to shop and eat. It's such a lovely town. We visit WW11 sites which are about a 2 hour drive away. The contact person, Wendy, was great!! very helpful!

“Home away from home”
Reviewed April 13, 2016 for a stay in April 2016

I can't begin to tell you how wonderful this place is. From the moment we talked with Wendy on the phone trying to find our way, to her meeting us down at the bottom of the road by the Rance river to guide us to the house, the magic began. I will break it down.

One. Wendy is the most gracious host we have ever met. Her kindness and upbeat personality were beyond expectations. She gave us a tour and history of the house and explained everything in detail that was needed for our stay. She gave suggestions on where to eat in the town of Dinan.

When we found out there was no dryer at the house, (but there's a washer), she brought us a clothing rack that we could put by the heating elements(they dried fast!)

When the Wifi went out in the house, she was there in less than 30 minutes to troubleshoot it. Since it hadn't gone out in quite some time, she had to take time to figure which switch it was, but was accomplished.

Two. This beautiful Home is more than adequate for eight people. We had three couples and two children and it was very cozy. One of my most memorable moments was waking up early every morning, going downstairs, making a pot of coffee, waiting for others to get up, then walking up the cobblestone street in Dinan to various boulangeries. Walking the streets at 7 AM in the morning is so quiet and peaceful, it's beyond belief. The sound of the birds, the coolness in the air and every once a while a cat to greet us, was so nice. The way the sun rose in the morning and hit the historic buildings so softly, made for the most magical pictures one could imagine. I could definitely imagine myself living in this home, walking the bridge over the Rance River into Dinan, trekking up the cobblestone hill and heading to work. Unfortunately reality bites us in the butt and it can only be a dream(at this time).
In the evenings, when we returned from our day trips, we would find ourselves sitting down in the formal dining room/living room, writing in our journals or postcards while looking up at the viaduct or the lit up ramparts in Dinan on the hill. We always look forward to coming back to the home.

Three. There are so many options that you can do from this house. Take a day trip to the Normandy beaches, take a walk along the river to Lehon, to the Rose going to coast to see some more surreal beauty or add to the walled city of St Malo or go opposite way to Mont St Michel.

Saying goodbye was hard, but the anticipation of coming back is real. Until we meet again.

“A splendid rural retreat in Lanvallay, close to things to do and enjoy.”
Reviewed October 5, 2015 for a stay in September 2015

Our extended family thoroughly enjoyed this delightful house in Lanvallay. Close to the river and a fine selection of restaurants and a short, albeit uphill, walk to the medieval town of Dinan makes this an excellent choice for a group. The house is extremely well equipped, it is comfortable and spacious with a splendid and large kitchen well suited to family meals together. Private on site parking for several cars is a bonus. We were fortunate to enjoy a week of unexpected sunshine but this house would be just as welcoming in the winter. Highly recommended.

“Perfectly located Holiday Rental”
Reviewed September 28, 2014 for a stay in September 2014

This beautifully renovated and spacious house was a real find as was the town of Dinan.
Wendy was a very helpful and friendly hostess who made us feel welcome and did everything to make our stay enjoyable. The house was very comfortable and located in a fantastic spot near restaurants and a fabulous patisserie just around the corner. Parking was easy in our own yard behind double gates. Nearby supermarkets in Lanvally were very convenient and easy to find. Two big attractions, St Malo and Mont St Michel were a pleasant drive away.
All in all, a great holiday home. We would love to come back! Didn't want to leave this house!

“Celebrating in Style”
Reviewed August 5, 2014 for a stay in July 2014

This holiday was the 1st family holiday in a long time - nearly 10 yrs since we were last in Brittany. We'd been planning & looking forward to it for 2 years - it didn't disappoint at all. We were celebrating our 25th wedding anniversary & vow renewal and had planned to visit some of our favourite places again. We had a wonderful trip, made all the more special by having this wonderful home to come back to every day. We could have happily stayed for much longer. Having morning coffee in the courtyard was so relaxing - the entire holiday was a slow, relaxing holiday - fabulous
For anyone interested in a different day out - try "Puy du Fou" We stayed overnight in order to enjoy the "Cinescenie" and had 2 gorgeous days in the park itself.
