This place is awesome!!! The staff are very kind and speak wonderful English. From check-in to our cottage, Louise told us all about the Abbey and the quaint town of Beauvoir. We were able to walk from the hotel by the river to the Abbey. Beautiful river view! Our son who loves nature, enjoyed the trees in front of the cottage. It did not disappoint him at all(climbing, picking apples, and gathering their branches). The hotel's cottages are quaint and well maintained. We enjoyed breakfast this morning and upon our departure we got tips from our friendly waiter on some great sights on our way to the Normandy landing beaches. Thanks for a wonderful stay.

Found this gem while trying to find accommodation in Mont St. Michel. I was a bit disappointed seeing it was not as close to the Abbey as I thought. Those feelings were replaced with joy when I got there though.

The staff here are so incredibly polite, helpful and just all round lovely. From check in to breakfast to the bike hire, nothing was an issue for them.

The hotel is surrounded by a beautiful garden and backs on to a river, where you can see the Abbey from. The garden was peaceful to sit in. There is also a great restaurant across the road, and Mont St Michel is just a quick bike ride away. Breakfast was drinks, fruit and pastries and was very enjoyable and filling.

The rooms were spacious and basic, but had everything we needed. The only drama we had was there being no air-con or any kind of fan in the room. It was rather hot when we stayed and sleeping was a bit uncomfortable, but only a minor problem during a fantastic stay. If you are in a room that backs onto the river it may be a bit noisy from people talking, but certainly not the hotel's fault.

A beautiful family run B&B style accomodation. If we return to the area we will definitely be staying here again.

We spent 2 nights here. Great location. Restaurants nearby and within walking distance (25 minutes to the shuttle) to get to Mt St Michel. We stayed in the detached portion of the Guest House. It was clean and comfortable. We had breakfast that included croissants, pain chocolate, fruit, café, juice. The family is nice and very helpful with info on area. The wifi in this portion of the hotel did not work. Free parking and there are cabins on site that look very nice.

Room tip: Cabins look brand new. The wifi is in these rooms

For anyone with discerning taste and an eye for the unexpected, but who also values (boring) creature comforts, this hotel is surely journey's end.

The building, around 300 years old, looks like the set for a gothic movie. And it's every bit as good inside.

Stuffed full of the artwork of the proprietor, and historic photographs and artefacts celebrating the heritage of the region, it's as much a museum and art gallery as a place to lay your head.

And the bedrooms? At first glance they appear austere. But look closer and the artistry in their design is glorious.

Oh and btw, the breakfast is immensely civilised, the patron speaks impeccable English, and provides bicycles free of charge for the (short) ride to Mont Saint Michel.

In an obvious tourist trap where the bog-standard is to be expected, it's a revelation to stumble upon somewhere extraordinary. Seize it, and enjoy !!!

Our family of four really enjoyed our stay at Hotel Rose. It is a charming place, not particularly modern, but very comfortable and welcoming. I would describe it as more like a guest house than a hotel. We stayed in the room with adjoining bedrooms. It was clean, the beds were comfortable, the shower was hot and we had enough space. The breakfast of pastries, fruit and coffee was very good. The wifi signal was good around the breakfast area, but very weak in our rooms. Most importantly (for us) it is well located for visiting Le Mont Saint Michel. The hotel rents out old bikes for just 1€ per day, and it is a nice easy ride (or walk) of about 2km along the river to the shuttle bus to Le Mont. (If you go before 10am, you can ride all the way). In addition, there are two good restaurants across the street. We would definitely stay again!
