I absolutely loved staying here. It was only for one night as we were on a Colca Canyon tour, but we were treated to two of the owner’s wonderful three-course meals in that time... lots of delicious vegetables and fish, a welcome sight after a few days of mostly fried things in Arequipa! (I don’t really eat meat which means most of your diet is cheese in Peru!)
The place had such a lovely, peaceful, soulful place to it. It’s hard to describe, I think the atmosphere came from the family who run it and host you.
There was a beautiful garden courtyard full of scented flowers and herbs and the bedrooms were beautifully presented with sheepskin throws to keep you warm. The owner mentioned some of the money earned goes to the local community. I couldn’t love this place more!
I am trying to think of a negative to make this review more balanced but there really wasn’t much! Limited hot water for showers but that’s all I can think of.
