On a boat trip to the Mediterranean we went up to escape the heat and dinner at Cacio e Vino, .Restaurant with dishes of land and sea.Excellent pappardelle with wild boar ragout, gnocchi with octopus, paccheri with squid, the wild boar Maremma style and the swordfish with citrus fruits. Medium-high price but there is also a great pizza with bottled or draft beer. The place is very suggestive and the welcome was familiar.
The bread is made in their wood oven!

We had great expectations of this restaurant.
We thought mid week in the evening would be reasonably quiet but when we arrived early evening to ask about availability of a table we were met at the door by a woman who was quite rude. We were told very curtly that there would probably be a table but they are very busy. We booked and then went to the local bar for a drink. It was quiet to begin with but filled up quite soon.
We chose the tagliolini with anchovies, pine nuts and sultanas. It was delicious. The second course was disappointing, the pork was overcooked and tough. Also the octopus/calamari with spinach wasn't much better.
Not sure that we would bother to go again.

Very good choose of wines. But my heart was taken by pasta with anchovy! It's something really tasty and very different from everything. I came back on the next day just for it!
And also service is very good. In season they recommended to book it one week in advance.

This restaurant is very nicely situated, great view over the bay of marina di campo. Meals are very tasty perhaps a little too expensive, probably due to situation and success. but unfortunately not really good organised. Waiting 40 minutes between entry and main course is a little long. The clients which arrived after us where served before us (4 tables). We asked 2 times what was going on and where told that there was only 1 cook in kitchen today. Would have been nice if they had excused, but..... Perhaps it was just not a good day.

We visited on the evening of 8 July having read previous reviews on Tripadvisor and visited another restaurant in this village. We were sorely disappointed because the food was good but the service was diabolical.

We waited quite a long time to order drinks so ordered food at the same time. Starters were on time and together but when it came to the main course, well....

My wife and daughter got their pasta together but my son and I waited an extra 30 minutes for our main course.

Not great eating so long after others had finished their meal and by which time it was quite late. It wasn't even full in the restaurant!

Heed earlier reviews where they said service could be poor. We experienced it first hand. BE WARNED !!!!!! The other restaurant was better if you're in this village.
