Our friend is working in Tokyo and suggested meeting at Dazzle for dinner. We were not disappointed. On arrival out of the lift (in the kitchen area) you are greeted by all the staff. The food was excellent.
We enjoyed it so much we then went back on our own two days later. This time we had the set price meal, excellent value. Also the best chocolate fondant I have ever tasted!

Thank Angela J

A great find in the Tokyo's Ginza area. The first thing you are struck by is the unusual entrance. The elevator opens and you find yourself entering the restaurant through the kitchen. The many kitchen staff welcomed us loudly as we entered. There is a lovely bar hidden behind the kitchen... a great place for a pre-dinner drink. The dining room is one floor up. It is decorated with a wine rack leaning over the high-veiled room, with perhaps a thousand bottles behind glass. The menu contained a wide variety of items. We let the waiter decide on a series of appetizers leading up to several small plates representing the main course. Perhaps a little pricey, but good value.

The first sight of the restaurant is impressive, especially the wine cellar. The food quality is quite average. The selection of wine isn't that comprehensive and the price is a bit over. I would say it's a fine restaurant but not a fine dining restaurant.

Our second visit and we had another enjoyable experience. Dazzle is located in the Mikimoto Building in Ginza, a 5 minutes walk from metro. The restaurant serves modern Italian cuisine. The elevator opens up into the kitchen and diners take another elevator one floor up to the dining room. The design is modern classic. The tables are spaced such that you have ample space but yet feel intimate. And I guess the lighting makes a reference to the name of the restaurant.

The service is prompt but not intrusive. The food was competently prepared. The dinner set menu which includes four courses and coffee cost Yen 6,300. To us it was good value. The restaurant may not have a Michelin star, but dinner there does not cost an arm or a leg, the food has no foam, and does not last over 3 hours. A go to restaurant when we feel we have had too much Japanese food in Tokyo, and we would love to try the sister restaurant Cucina Del Nabucco on the 7/F.

From the moment you step out of the lift directly into the kitchen and all the chefs shout hallo, you know you are going to have a good time. The dining room is dramatic with the huge glass wine cellar overhanging one end. Food is excellent and the service, particularly the maitre d' friendly and helpful - not always the case in Japan. We were so impressed we went back again four days later - not a bad endorsement when, according to TA, there are 83000 restaurants to choose from!
