Location is the #1 draw of this hotel from our experience. The bus from the airport takes you straight to the hotel doorstep, or you can choose to take the train as well since Shibuya Station is connected to the hotel without having to go street level. Having the train station connected opens you to the whole of Tokyo basically so Shibuya Excel is awesome as a base. In Shibuya itself, all around the hotel (from 1 to 15min walk), lots of restos, cafes, convenience stores, boutiques and shops.

The hotel itself is quite standard, lobby generally busy but the lines move fast. Don't expect bellboys or doormen here though, you have to deal with your own luggage, which is perfectly fine as the reception lobby to the elevators is a very short distance.

The elevator lobby has a good view of the famed Shibuya Crossing, and so does one of the elevators, good but not too great. If you want to take better photos, best to do it from other vantage points outside the hotel.

Got the triple room, just right for Japan standards, not too much space to move around but not too cramped either.

Overall, the hotel itself was above average but not spectacular, but will stay here again if only for the convenience of the location.

Triple room included 3 large single beds, separate toilet with sink and bath/shower room with sink, capsule coffee machine and great views over the city of Tokyo (triple rooms do not overlook the crossing, however our view was very impressive). Very well insulated from outside noise. Great location at Shibuya crossing, above two separate railway lines, bus terminal and taxi rank. Located aboce Mark City Shopping Centre which included many food options (mainly Japanese), including french patisserie, Cold Stone Ice Creamery, Starbucks. Washing machine and dryer located one 8, 9 and 10th floors. Most staff spoke some English, some staff were fluent. A big bonus was the mobile phone in our room for our use for local calls, local information and google maps app to assist in finding our way around Tokyo.

2nd time staying this hotel. Service was friendly and helpful. Hotel has all the amenities and pretty good breakfast.
Room is typical Japan hotel room, small. Bedding was clean and bright. Good for shopper in Shibuya and only 5mins walk to Shibuya station, Hachiko exist.
Good stay.

This is my second stay at this hotel and the main reason is the location. The hotel is connected to the subway system, you never really have to leave the building to take the subway. A member of my party had trouble walking and they were very accommodating, it’s great for people with disabilities. It’s also connected to a mall and lots a restaurants. In addition, the area that surrounds it are more restaurants and stores. If you want a hotel that makes you feel like you’re in the middle of all the action this is the place.
The rooms are clean, everyday we could tell that the rooms were cleaned. I never saw dust inside the rooms. The hotel staff was friendly but and helpful at all times. Overall this is a great place to stay.

This is the second time we have stayed here whilst visiting relatives in Tokyo. Once again, it didn't disappoint. Right at the heart of Shibuya, above the Mark City shopping complex, it overlooks the Shibuya Scramble. Shibuya station is virtually on the doorstep and the airport limousine bus stops right outside the hotel. Even though there is a great deal of building work going on in the area at the moment, I would still recommend the hotel for its location, relatively spacious rooms and helpful staff.
