An incredibly convenient location - 1 stop from Shinjuku Station (N'EX, Yamanote line) and directly above the Higashi Shinjuku Metro station. Easy walk to Kabuki-cho and all the area's fun but far enough to be a quiet hotel. The room was quite spacious ( hint- book a room with 2 beds for more space), very clean ( housekeeping was excellent), and quiet. A guest laundry is located on the 2nd floor. Have only had great experienced at Sunroute hotels, would not hesitate to stay at on again.

Room tip: For more space book a room with 2 beds.

We checked in there in Dec. '15. We were 6 in all. 3 adults (couple and mother) and 3 children (ages 9, 11 and 12). They did not want us to get 2 rooms only. (with three persons in each room). They said it is their strict policy that there should be only 2 persons in a room. We even asked that it was alright for us to pay the extra bed and/or upgrade our rooms, to no avail. The staff did not budge a bit. We were thus forced to get 3 rooms. We think this policy is unreasonable considering that we have children as company. We do not recommend this hotel for families who are similarly situated as ours.

It's situated near the shinjuku area, you can actually walk gooing to the shopping area. Not advisable for family with 2 children because their rooms is so small that we get another room for our 17 year old daughter. Subway station is so close like 1 minute walk away from the hotel.

Room tip: Travel by two's and carry with you small bags.

Right above the Higashi Shinjuku metro station, the hotel is very conveniently located - near the shops and restaurants of Shinjuku but not right in the heart of the chaos / hustle & bustle and crowds. The rooms are a little small - if you have a large luggage, you may not be able to leave it open - but that is not uncommon for hotel rooms in Tokyo.

Every thing is good but not the front desk guy.

When we arrived and show our passports + Reservation (from Japanican.com) to the guy at front desk, he just returned all passports and reservation without checking anything. Then he comes " sorry the rooms are under cleanning" please come back and check-in at 16:00. So we put all luggages in the lobby and go to smoking room have a ciggarare as well as review our reservation. It shows check-in time is 14:00~~ So I take my reservation to the front desk again. This time is a lady, she wants to ask the guy but the guy just raise his hand (left hand) to show that he is busy. Then the lady ask the manager on duty, he accepts us to check in. Hoops~~ we could go shopping directly!

But How come the rooms are cleanned + ready after 3 mins???? That's what we feel so dispise from the guy. We do not believe Japanese would treat Taiwanese like this but guess what? It happened.... No one would explain this and not even any sorry from them.. Is it terrible?

Room tip: Quiet at higher floor
