Yes it's a cliche but they have imported Guiness on tap and Kilkenny beer too. There's a happy hour from opening time until 7pm. The bare wood floor and the brass dragon heads along the bar are features. The pub food has a couple of ethnic items and its all reasonably priced too. Patrons can smoke but the extractors take care of that. A good place to get away from the streets below.

Nice little place to sit and have a beer and almost forget you are in Japan. Decor is the classic 'Irish Pub' but you cant remove all the Japanisms. Guiness and Kilkeny on tap. A few westerners looking for home territory. Best asset the girls playing fiddle, flute etc, they were quite good.

it had been a few months since i had enjoyed a good pint of the black stuff and I was not disappointed when I stumbled across this place. Food was pub food, good quality for me the cheese and meat board was a great nibble.

Back in town again this week and good to find the old place still functioning as a bolt hole for Western visitors from the madness that is the east side of Shinjuku station.
Still a 1000Yen for a pint of Guinness or Kilkenny and at the current exchange rate that’s almost bearable. Very busy in the evenings usually with a lively mixed crown of Japanese and foreigners and it still remains one of my favourite places to search out when staying in Shinjuku.

The Dubliner is nice Irish Pub in Shinjuku. They have Irish beers on tap like Guinness and Kilkenny, as well as some hard ciders, and they also have some local Japanese beers if you want something lighter. This place has a nice selection of classic pub grub items like Guinness beef stew, sausage platter, Fish and Chips and Colcannon. They also have pretty decent pizza. The soda bread is very good. On some evenings they will have live Irish music too. This is a cool place to hang out on the weekend with a good mixture of Ex Pats, travelers and locals. I’ve been here too many times to count , and always try to make the pilgrimage if I have time when in Japan.
