The hotel is on the quieter side (West) of Ikebukuro Station. It’s only a few minutes walk from the west exit of the train station so very easy to get to and use as a base to get around. Not as busy as Shibuya or Shinjuku.
Room was clean and pretty standard size for hotels like this in Tokyo i.e. small. Had a room with queen bed, and just right for a couple. If you’ve got lots of large luggage might be struggling. Bathroom was clean and perfect.
Room actually had a washing machine, first wash is free, if you happen to need to use it. Microwave, kettle and plates/cutlery so can get your own snacks and drinks. Fridge as well. With the 7-11 just 2 blocks away you can keep your goodies fresh in the room.
I had breakfast included in the booking. A very simple Japanese style buffet. Rice, meat, soup, salad, pastries, juice and coffee, fruit and yoghurt etc. It does the trick to get you set up for the day.
