It was a lovely day so the aquamarine sea views and the pine clad hills were seen to best advantage. The gardens are well laid out but do not compare with RHS gardens in the UK. The directions to see the gardens are slightly out of date and some of the plants referred to were either dead or moribund. The modern sculptures erected in various areas vary from boring and inappropriate to vaguely repellent. The ancient cactus garden is the best part. Overall we could only rate this at say 65% and felt that in some ways it traded on past glories.

perhaps because the gardens were not at their best we were a little disappointed. Have seen much better on the Italian lakes.

Beautifully maintained grounds, specimen naming flawless and comprehensive. Cactus garden not to be missed.
Magnificent sea views from many vantage points on the walk.
Walking around on hot summer days might be somewhat tiring, as the paths are not on the flat.

Location, views, and well maintained? A surprise to see such a beautiful garden, especially using mediterranean plants, but at the end of the day it is the location and scenery which keeps drawing the eye. A must see the area, 3euros each offers very good value for money
