Very friendly welcome, beautiful Cottage, very clean, excellent neighbourhood, all shops are at the front door. We will be sure to rebook this Cottage again.
Thank you again Ian and Vanessa.
This cottage, tucked away just behind the high Street in a hidden private courtyard, was perfect for the two us to visit family and friends in Guisborough and have a place to call our own for six weeks. Very very clean and tastefully decorated, hosts, Ian and Vanessa are great fun with a helpful attitude to all requests. Close to all amenities, clubs, pubs shops and bars within walking distance. We will be returning for our next holiday in Guisborough. Den and Ann from Australia
Stayed here for three days around New Year, visiting friends in Guisborough but wanting to have a place of our own to 'crash'.
The apartments (there are multiple)/renovated house are located right of the main street, but access goes via a small (closed) ally so the apartment itself is very quiet. Because it is on the main street in Guisborough you have everything you need just a stones throw away.
The apartment (2 person - 1 bedroom) we stayed is was great: very well renovated and charmingly decorated, yet very practical. Clean apartment/house, good sized bathroom, central heating.
Very friendly owners (they own a shop/business next door)
Definitely a place we will consider when visiting our friends.

The owners gave us a warm welcome and were very helpful in providing details about the area, parking arrangements etc.
The cottage is well maintained and fully equipped for a comfortable stay. The downstairs rooms are on the small side and the kitchen is a bit cramped for more than one person at a time. The bedroom upstairs is a good size and there is an excellent ensuite shower and toilet.
The cottage is situated off the main street, up an alleyway accessed via a lockable door. There is some outdoor space in a high walled back yard, but with no view or outlook, which was a negative point for us. However, on the positive side it felt very secure and completely quiet at all times.
Despite being a small town, Guisborough has a very good variety of restaurants, both sit-in and take-away, all of which are within a few minutes walk of the cottage. It's also very well located for trips to the coast or to the Moors.
Overall we were well satisfied with our stay at this cottage and would happily return if in the area.

Clean, warm and good decor. Wouldnt be suitable for more than 3 people but is perfect for 2. Its in a back street behind a greggs and a post office which means it is quiet but also can be hard to park unless you are out before 10am can be harder on market days. The town has essential shops such as boots, one stop and morrisons. This didnt effect me but there's not much natural light as its behind shops. The shower is lovely and very spacious. Overall it was a pleasent, cosy and homely place to stay while in north yorkshire.
