This is a big National Trust place - lots to see and do!
We loved the house itself. The story of how the fledgling National Trust acquired it and then couldn't afford to renovate it is fascinating, and seeing the end result is amazing. The wood panelling which is everywhere is superb.
We also loved the gardens and the artisan workshops.
Definitely worth a visit. Tons to do whether you are a couple (like us) or a family with small children.
